| Dremel Moto-Tool | 17 Aug 2004 05:19 GMT | 8 |
Hi all; I had a Dremel with a light-weight chick on the end of a four-foot cable. Trouble is the chuck is made of aluminum, and after a couple of minutes of work, it gets hot enough to burn your hand.

| Damn, I'm bored :) | 17 Aug 2004 05:13 GMT | 43 |
I can't believe I've just read ALL the posts on the ng today. Even the ones about Star Trek stuff (ick). And the ones from that troll with the turds. As well as the 'conspiracy theory' posts. [Quick aside here: guys, it's only a hobby - get a life and worry about something ...

| Best Zero MODEL kit mfr--ok, that takes care o' THAT! | 17 Aug 2004 03:43 GMT | 5 |
Someone mentioned Hasegawa had the best, but didn't mention scale as I recall. I do 1/48, and picked up a couple Tamiya kits, which, given Tamiya's reputation, should have been the right stuff. But, it seems these are rather old kits, and aren't bad exactly, but not what I ...

| Sabotage at Nationals? | 17 Aug 2004 02:15 GMT | 41 |
Normally, rumors don't get my engine running, but this is a little different, since it implies a need to consider security for models at contests. Stated briefly, I have heard (at least second- and maybe third-hand) that a contestant was accused of trying to damage models

| Any aftermarket T-34-85 1943 turret available in 1/35? | 16 Aug 2004 22:50 GMT | 7 |
Guys- I just saw the Maquette T-34-85 1943 kit at my local Hobbytown USA, and since it costs right at twice what their T-34-76 & -57 kits, I assume it includes a resin turret to account for the difference.

I'm working on the Attack Hobby 1/72 German ambulance, and have a question about painting before I proceed. On the boxtop, and for one version on the instruction sheet the rear and side door windows are shown painted white.

| Italeri Cormorant & German Revell EH101 HC.3 Landing Gear Question | 16 Aug 2004 22:25 GMT | 2 |
I recently acquired the 1/72 Italeri Cormorant helicopter (Kit # 01226). I've heard there are a number of inaccuracies in this kit, particularly the main landing gear. The Cormorant kit includes the single-wheeled main landing gear struts while it should have double

| Newsreader problems? | 16 Aug 2004 22:12 GMT | 5 |
I am not sure if I have a problem on my computer, or if something funny is going on in newsgroups. When I first select the newsgroup 'folder' in my Netscape, it pings the news server and gets the number of new messages in each group. Then, when I select each group, it downloads
