7 gallon 2 hp Sears Companion Air Compressor07 Aug 2004 20:29 GMT3
Does anyone here use the 7 gallon, 2 hp Sears Companion compressor for
airbrushing?  How loud is it?  How often does it kick on to refill during
model painting time?  How long does it take to refill to the max when it
kicks in?  Does it have leakage on its stock attachments such as ...
First Recoiless Rifle07 Aug 2004 20:06 GMT18
I believe I posted a query some months ago
as to the origin of the first recoilless rifle. Well
yesterday I got my answer from a very definite
authority: The US Army's Aberdeen Proving
Dore Westbury milling machine guard07 Aug 2004 18:16 GMT1
I have a Dore Westbury milling machine a bit like this one:-
http://www.wokingprecision.f9.co.uk/machine/we11/light_vertical_milling_machine.jpg
and like this one mine has no guard round the pulleys and belts.  In
use it's a bit disconcerting having exposed pulleys whizzing close to
MiG-25 in 1/48, aftermarket...?07 Aug 2004 14:44 GMT2
With the Revell Foxbat in stock again, is there any hope for some
aftermarket parts? I really don't wat to scratchbuild another
cockpit...  Black Box or Cobra Company seemed to be brewing something,
perhaps an -RB conversion - any sightings? Also, Tally Ho! had an ad
scapa flow07 Aug 2004 12:28 GMT32
have there been any recent surveys or explorations
of the wrecks there? aren't there still some high seas fleet

Plastic kit glue - help please07 Aug 2004 10:40 GMT16
Adhesive/glue for plastic model kits.
For many years I have been figure modelling in metal, and have been building
scenary in a range of materials using mainly PVA glues.
Many decades ago, as a child, I used to buiuld plastic 'airfix' kits with the
ode to Airy R. (has) Bean07 Aug 2004 10:30 GMT9
A 'Radio Ham' called Bean
invented a fettling machine.
On the 99th stroke the bleedin' thing broke
and fettled his castings to cream.
Hogging chains--Robt E Lee07 Aug 2004 09:52 GMT4
I'm currently dinking around with the Lindberg (ex-Pyro) Robert E. Lee
Mississippi steamboat kit, trying to add some detail so it doesn't look
too toylike.  Right now I'm carving out 112 window openings so I can add
N-scale model railroad building windows, but that's not important ...
Acryl scratch resistance & durability07 Aug 2004 09:39 GMT1
I have a test part painted with the old Acryl formula, gloss Ford Engine
Blue.  On the same part, I also have some Model Master oil enamels (flats
and glosses) and a Tamiya XF8 flat blue.
These paints were applied on July 21 2004, and scratched into on August 5,

Su-22 yellow red triangle markings ??07 Aug 2004 02:04 GMT1
can anyone explain what the reversed yellow red triangle (nose) markings
mean on the SU-22 ?
While looking for pics they seem to be on every aircraft regardless from
which country they are.
Revell F/A-1806 Aug 2004 23:19 GMT1
I recently picked up a Revell 1:48 "CF-18 Hornet 'D-Day'" kit from 1994 on
ebay. Upon inspection, the kit seems to have strange air intakes that are
somewhat flattened on the outside edge, unlike the F/A-18's characteristic
'D' shape, which I can't see on any images of the Monogram ...

Revelogram reboxing of Hasegawa kits06 Aug 2004 22:08 GMT7
Does anyone know if Revelogram's new kits are reboxings of Hasegawa's?
In particular I'm considering buying the 1/32 ME-109G4, and the 1/48
Stuka, F-4E Phantaom and the FW 190 (the stuff in the current Squadron
flyer).
