CNC Testing - Random G0 codes30 Aug 2004 15:37 GMT1
Some of you will remember the fun and games I had getting PSU's and
steppers to work last week with steps being missed here and there, all now
fixed thanks for the advice.
To test things out and make sure no steps were missed, I wrote a piece of
Anyone building a Trumpeter T-34 in 1/16th scale - comments?30 Aug 2004 15:13 GMT3
Just got one of the kits, the T-34/76 - first look at the instructions and
reference material - looks like it should be a really nice model. Anyone out
there further along than me? Be nice if someone came out with a resin crew
set.
Revell 1/72 u-boat decking30 Aug 2004 13:18 GMT7
Anyone tell me if it's possible to get replacement decking in the UK for
the U-boat?  And indeed any other aftermarket bits available - I'm
aware of the WEM photo-etch kits and the Hecker & Goros (?) crew
figures.

Anybody know what Tac, Blue Tac, or UHU Tac is?30 Aug 2004 06:51 GMT5
I recently saw an article on the Aircraft Resource Center website,
http://s96920072.onlinehome.us/tnt1/101-200/tnt125_sanding-intakes_Pocza/tnt125.htm
that shows an interesting method for sanding the inside of intake duct
lips.  It mentions something called "Tac, Blu Tac, UHU Tac, ...
1/72 question30 Aug 2004 06:29 GMT11
1.  Does anyone make a P-3 AWACS conversion, especially with decals?
2.  Any 1/72 decals for the Thunderbirds C-118?  How about for Eisenhower's

wally world bargain30 Aug 2004 06:13 GMT2
wally world has a 4.8 volt, 450 rpm small electric hand
drill with charger and battery for $6.88. it is an excellent
little unit and the pistol style makes it easy to get in
tight spots. it will hold very small bits.
Vietnam SWIFT Boat Photos?30 Aug 2004 05:57 GMT16
All the recent political talk has finally crept into my modelling.  I
remembered that I have a Revell reissue of the Monogram SWIFT patrol
boat and now would be as good a time as any to build it.  A quick web
search turned up a lot of Kerry articles but virtually no photos of
Model Thieves!30 Aug 2004 05:45 GMT38
Last night someone broke into the offices where I work and stole ten
laptop computers, including mine, which was a hot-shot box (P4
processor, 2 GB RAM and a 16:9 widescreen display). Seems as though
that would have been enough, but I display two models on a bookshelf
#$^^#% VAC FORMS!!!30 Aug 2004 04:36 GMT5
I'm a masochist, I admit it...
Rather than spend the $55 for the Mach 2 kit of the RB-57 I decided to go
ahead and build the AirModel and kitbash with the Italeri B-57, both of
which
Best tool for removing small PE?29 Aug 2004 23:52 GMT4
I finally got the Trumpeter Wildcat and will be doing it with folded wings.
Anybody got a recommendation on the best tool for cleanly removing those
little hinges from the fret without ragged hunks of metal hanging off? Sprue
cutters aren't working too well.

Riveting29 Aug 2004 22:46 GMT4
Hi Chaps,
Could anybody offer any advice on riveting.  I'm just starting a 5"
gauge 'Dougal' 0-4-0 tnak loco.  The buffer beams are riveted to angle
using 1/8" rivets.  However, when I try riveting over the inside,
1/24 Spit & BF.109G setail sets?29 Aug 2004 17:49 GMT1
Any company doing 1/24 Spitfire and Messerschmitt Bf 109G cocpit sets for
the Trumpeter kits?
Along the lines of Cutting edge quality, sort of product.
Seems pretty rare, surprising seeing the subject.
