Did I miss a HL sale?06 Aug 2004 05:29 GMT6
I saw a mention of Hobby Lobby half off sales (in reference to the NX-01
Enterprise).  Did they have a half off while I was in Oshkosh and not tell me?!

Black Box Wheel Well Set for 1/32 F-10506 Aug 2004 03:34 GMT2
I haven't been able to see more than a sketch of this set. Can anyone tell me
if it might possibly also contain the landing gear? Probably too much to
expect.
Sigh.
Model Instructions06 Aug 2004 02:01 GMT3
Does anyone know where I could obtain some instructions for a 1971
Hemi Cuda. It's  revell-monogram brand. I spilled some paint all over
it and it's ruined. I've looked all over the internet for them but no
luck. I've even tried revell-monogram's missing part claim, but no

Can someone give me some tips on making Academy decals work?  I can't get them

Getting 3 phase installed, what plans are needed?05 Aug 2004 23:55 GMT6
I'm trying to get my local electricity supplier to quote me for installing a
3 phase supply (so I can run my mill, drill etc.); I've sent them the forms
along with a sketch of the site showing the required position for the
supply, but they've written back asking for scale drawings ...
Model master Acryl metallics05 Aug 2004 23:27 GMT8
I just picked up bottles of the gun metal and the aluminum. Anybody
tried them out? Airbrushable? Traditional brush work? I doubt I'd use it
for NMF schemes, since I like SNJ, but I can see some other
possibilities in terms of mixing in other colors.
Anyone else keep box tops?05 Aug 2004 16:40 GMT14
I seem to have acquired the habit of cutting off the box tops of all the
kits I've started (I don't seem to ever finish anything)
probably got a few hundred of them along with a few side panels.
good reference for painting, etc but otherwise I have no idea why I save
Pappy Boyington's F4u-1 Corsair Decals05 Aug 2004 15:41 GMT1
I had a friend give me a Revell model from 1976 of this Corsair.
Without thinking, I tried to apply the decals. As soon as I wet the
decal they came off in thousands of pieces. Of course if I had known,
I could have clear coated it. Now I would like to het a copy of the
A "moldy oldy" Douglas X-3 Stiletto05 Aug 2004 12:31 GMT12

Milling Machine Design05 Aug 2004 10:39 GMT1
A possibly stupid question
I have an Axminster mill an FB2 copy which is very good but I have started using coolant
and part of the design of the table at each end are rectangular depressions milled into
the table about one inch from each end. I have seen similar things on other ...
XB-35 Info Sought05 Aug 2004 06:12 GMT5
Hey Dudes (and any Dudettes that may be lurking...)...
I am searching for some good "model-builder-worthy" online
material on the XB-35/YB-35 Flying Wing.  I have done extensive
"googling", and have run across about 20 very good photos

Wasn't there  kit a few years back, I think of a WWI biplane, in which
all the parts, including structre, ect. were made with photoetch parts.
I recall seeing a build review online, but I can't find it now.  Any
