Lasercutting24 Aug 2004 20:07 GMT1
Does anyone know of a fairly cheap place in the UK to have lasercutting
done. I need it on 1.6mm 60xx Ali and the cut is a design covering about
120mm x 120mm .
Thanks,

Okay - I'm getting some ali extrusion profile delivered in a few weeks that
is a 'U' shape and measures about 37mm x 200mm and I just wanted to check
how to cut it. I was going to find a horizontal bandsaw to cut this. I need
as accurate cut as possible under a very low budget - is ...

Submarine questions24 Aug 2004 10:57 GMT32
1. For the fore and aft dive planes on a submarine, do they work like
elevators (as in airplanes) or do they work like ailerons?
If able to work like ailerons the sub can then make a banked turn.  Or
the sub can be trimmed to "reverse" bank so as to remain vertical
[PartlyOT] Lancaster book series query.24 Aug 2004 09:47 GMT3
Is the Lancaster photo book series title just, Lancaster ?
The books were hard back, larger than A4 with tons of black and white
photographs, some of them sectioned into pilot, engineer, air gunner, etc.
Many thanks,

I'm not a model engineer but do a bit of metal bashing to support my hobby
and used to get tools etc from (as I recall) "Graham Engineering". They had
a useful catalogue, were cheap, and the quality adequate for the light use
the tools got here.
Opinions on kit quality24 Aug 2004 07:01 GMT10
I was looking around on the Squadron website recently, and decided to

Hasegawa 1/48 Myrt nightfighter24 Aug 2004 05:03 GMT2
This new kit also turned up on my local hobby shop's shelves yesterday.
It is the basic 1/48 scale kit with a twin 20mm "Schrage Music"
installation behind the pilot. Kit parts include a new main clear canopy
and a nice set of cast metal 20mm cannon and mountings. Decals cover a
(air) 1/32 Polikarpov I-16??24 Aug 2004 04:54 GMT3
Question:
Has anyone heard a rumor about a 1/32 scale Polikarpov I-16 type 10
from Azur?? I have been hearing promises of 1/32 scale Curtiss Hawks and
Morane 406s to follow their rather nice Dewoitine 520 and suddenly
(air) Revell/Monogram Curtiss P-40E?24 Aug 2004 04:29 GMT5
Hi Troops:
I saw a list of future releases that stated there is a P-40E from
Revell/Monogram on the way. Anybody know what molds these might be? That
ancient Revell set re-incarnated again??

The kit number is 841
Thanks in advance,
