Researching30 Sep 2004 23:31 GMT3
I'm a late-in-life newcomer to making model aircraft and would like to be
able to learn more about the individual aircraft I make. Has anyone any
suggestions where I can research the history of an individual plane?
Thanks for any help

Testors New Automotive lacquers30 Sep 2004 15:19 GMT10
Has anybody tried them? Are they worth the premium price?
How do they compare with the likes of Tamiya, Original Testors, Krylon?
I notice that they a have a nice metallic Bronze which is a great match
for Chryslers Turbine Bronze used on the Turbine cars of the sixties.
Accurate history vs. Symbol of hate ??30 Sep 2004 14:25 GMT25
Announced to my wife that I was going to be applying decals to my
Stuka.  She wondered whether or not that included the swastika.  I
said it did.  She thinks I should leave it off.  I countered that to
accurately represent the aircraft (in the particular scheme I chose) I

society, the local boys of Phoenix, have departed for Mexico in an
attempt to not pay the tab they ran up during the 2004 Natioanls

1/48 XP-47??30 Sep 2004 04:31 GMT24
Koster did a XP-47J and Airmodel did the XP-47H, both are vac formed
conversions. But didn't I see one of these done as a injection molded kit? I am
thinking it was the XP-47H in a short run or limited edition? Maybe I'm mixing
it up with a 1/72 kit? Anyone out there able to help me ...

I've got a Hasegawa F-18 kit on the way, and surprisingly, I haven't
been able to find an online kit review. This is for the F-18A or C
(I'm not sure which, a friend is "donating" it). I've checked my
favorites (ARC, Modeling Madness, Hyperscale) and have come up with
