| USS MoHawk | 07 Sep 2004 05:39 GMT | 3 |
There was a Coast Guard Cutter named the Mohawk tied up in Wilmington, Delaware, for God knows how long? She still had .50 mgs in gun tubs when I first saw her ten years ago. She sure didn't look like a well taken care of ship. Finally she was towed

| [CARS] HM Ambassador "Amby" models? | 07 Sep 2004 05:13 GMT | 6 |

I stopped at Streete for the first time in about 4 yrs, just to see if Bob was still around, and found this and their Neptune, (happy dance). Bob got them from a modeler's estate. B-47 is missing the right front wheel well door #35R.

| Hardening? | 06 Sep 2004 22:46 GMT | 7 |
Being unhappy with the state of the cross slide on my Myford ML7 coupled with my preference to work metric I decided to make a metric version of the lead-screw and replace the mazak nut with a Phosphor Bronze one. Whilst I can quite easily cut a 12mm x 2mm extenal ACME thread the ...
