hinge clamp20 Sep 2004 09:08 GMT4
I'm looking for a couple hinge clamps from the UK - any ideas as I can't
seem to find anyone that carries them.
They are the same as those used in the silk/screen printing jigs.
Thanks,
Marine steam engine20 Sep 2004 09:08 GMT10
I am going to build a model steam boat about 36in loa over the winter
and would really appreciate some advice on the engine and boiler. I
want to build it myself (adequate maching facilities, marginally
adequate skill) rather than buy a commercial unit from Cheddar and

Zimmerit question19 Sep 2004 20:34 GMT3
Have just acquired a Tamiya 1/35 Porsche King Tiger from eBay.  Were all
the Porsche Tigers fitted with Zimmerit?
I'm planning to use the Voyager Models PE set with this kit; if Zimmerit
is required at what stage should I add it, before or after detailing with
Poor math skills are OK?19 Sep 2004 15:01 GMT48
Elsewhere on this group someone asked about a scale conversion calculator,
and it's not the first time it's been requested either.  I've always thought
this an odd thing, admitting that you aren't able to perform calculations
requiring fractions and proportions, something that is ...
R-M 1/48 F/A-18E Super Hornet19 Sep 2004 13:18 GMT1
Any word if Revell-Monogram plans to go forward with the release of the 1/48
Super Hornet this month?
Also, I saw an ad for a 1/48 Hasegawa Super Hornet. Is this a Hasegawa new
tool; an Italeri repackage; or the Revell-Monogram new kit packaged by
Spitfires DW*O and DW*K Two Questions19 Sep 2004 09:44 GMT32
I have the new Aero sheet on B of B Spitfires featuring DW*K.  The
sheet correctly shows the "DW" in front of the roundel on the port
side and indicates that the "DW" on the starboard is on the **trailing
edge** of the roundel.
WTB Tamiya or other 1:24 Jaguar d-type model kit, built or unbuilt19 Sep 2004 03:27 GMT1
I want this to make a slot car.  Would prefer the model with the fin. Of
course, an original slotcar would be even better.

Hey guys, due to several recent crapalanches I've just typed a list of
209 kits (most with aftermarket packaged with the kit, I do not want to
break up package deals), air, armor, figures and ships. I'll be typing
the loose aftermarket stuff up tonight and will e-mail a copy in .xls

I am making some pcb's using FR4 boards and wanted to color them before
screen printing. This is just a hobby run of a few boards but I wanted them
black. Has anyone ever or seen reference to say die or vinyl dye being used?

Cutting small, perfect circles?18 Sep 2004 16:34 GMT18
I need to cut four identical perfect circles that are slightly smaller
than a dime.  This is too big for a punch, and too small to use a
compass.  The only templates I have for circles currently are plastic,
and I doubt I could scribe one circle before trashing the template.
taig and sherline mills to the UK18 Sep 2004 16:13 GMT17
I just cam across the maxnc complete cnc mini mill. It works out a
around £640. Looks about as good as a taig, slightly more sturdy that
sherline mill. Although shipping hurts, around £150
