I am going to build a model steam boat about 36in loa over the winter and would really appreciate some advice on the engine and boiler. I want to build it myself (adequate maching facilities, marginally adequate skill) rather than buy a commercial unit from Cheddar and

| Poor math skills are OK? | 19 Sep 2004 15:01 GMT | 48 |
Elsewhere on this group someone asked about a scale conversion calculator, and it's not the first time it's been requested either. I've always thought this an odd thing, admitting that you aren't able to perform calculations requiring fractions and proportions, something that is ...

| Spitfires DW*O and DW*K Two Questions | 19 Sep 2004 09:44 GMT | 32 |
I have the new Aero sheet on B of B Spitfires featuring DW*K. The sheet correctly shows the "DW" in front of the roundel on the port side and indicates that the "DW" on the starboard is on the **trailing edge** of the roundel.

| Cutting small, perfect circles? | 18 Sep 2004 16:34 GMT | 18 |
I need to cut four identical perfect circles that are slightly smaller than a dime. This is too big for a punch, and too small to use a compass. The only templates I have for circles currently are plastic, and I doubt I could scribe one circle before trashing the template.
