I'm thinking of starting a weekend build competition, you can build any

etc.
The winner would be judged by a rating system on the user gallery. The model

Thrift Store Score!19 Oct 2004 05:47 GMT7
I go to this little local thrift store sometimes with my wife and I always
look for plastic while there.  I pick up the odd car kit but not very
often.  So, what do I see there today?  Oh my God!  A Tamiya F-117, Panda
F35 and Italerie F-22, all in 1/48 and all still sealed!  All ...
overloaded folding wings19 Oct 2004 04:26 GMT34
In Detailing Scale Model Aircraft by Mike Ashley and probably other
places, you get a picture of an aircraft (a Skyraider in this case) with
folding wings fully loaded with ordnance on the hardpoints including 3
bombs on each folding section--seems unlikely to me, even though I ...

OV-10 Hasegawa large fuel tank18 Oct 2004 19:31 GMT1
Does anyone have a spare large centerline fuel tank, as used by USAF OV-10s (as
opposed to the smaller tank used by the early Marine versions?  I'd like to get
one for the Academy OV-10 I'm making.  There's one in the more recent Hasegawa
OV-10A kits.
[FU] Success for Vess - He made a difference.18 Oct 2004 06:13 GMT11
My fellow modelers:
Vess Irvine has come to r.m.s. with the avowed purpose of changing opinions
and votes in the upcoming US Presidential elections toward John Kerry.
Every fiber of his body is driven to that goal.  Today I attempted to change
D-Day Spitfire18 Oct 2004 04:41 GMT5
I recall seeing a photograph somewhere of a crash-landed Spit with
D-Day markings laying in a French field with a convoy of Shermans
trundling past. At the time I thought it would make a good diorama
subject but I have never been able to find a copy of the photo again
