Questions about 1/72 kits of Japanese bombers by LS12 Oct 2004 15:06 GMT14
I have several kits here that I'm curious about. Perhaps some of the older
modelers may remember these. Can anyone give me an idea of when these were
made (there are no dates that I can make out) and what they might get if I
offer them for sale?  My guess is, not much, but one never ...
Disappointment with the size of a model?12 Oct 2004 15:03 GMT21
I was looking over by built collection, which contains several kits I
built around 20 to nearly 30 years ago. I recalled a few that I was
disappointed in how small the kit was, in 1/72 as these are, as to
what I had expected, having not checked the real one's dims prior to
Fire at Yankee Air Museum12 Oct 2004 14:37 GMT5
Here is a copy of the news bulletin from the Yankee Air Museum website:
The Yankee Air Museum at Willow Run Airport suffered a disastrous fire last
night that destroyed the historic hangar that housed the museum. The museum
staff was able to move the historic B-17, C-47 and B-25 ...

Hi troops:

Korean War Era MiG-15 Colors12 Oct 2004 01:54 GMT19
Were these all natural metal with North Korean insignia? Any camoed? I
thought I saw a picture of one done up with a red upper surface and a
white, grey or NM lower.
Any thoughts?
Airfix 1/24 Harrier GR312 Oct 2004 00:34 GMT3
I built the original Airfix 1/24 Harrier when I was in my teens, always an
impressive kit. I remember the wing to fuselage joints causing me problems,
but not a lot more. Has anyone put a review of the updated GR3 kit online?
I've got an unbuilt original issue sat in the loft, but I ...
Airshow crash11 Oct 2004 23:45 GMT5
About two weeks ago, there was footage shown on Aussie TV of an
aircraft crash at an airshow in the USA. There were few details given,
other than the obvious - a restored vintage aircraft that came down in
a carpark.

(Mike B.?) will be on Jay Leno the evening of October 6. Jay alluded to them
being the Wilbur and Orville of our era.

1/8" BSP oxy-acetylene fittings11 Oct 2004 22:13 GMT1
I need to adapt a Metco zinc spray gun to use standard welding hoses and
hose check valves. It uses 1/8" BSP RH for oxygen and LH for acetylene. The
male stubs on the gun are too close together to just make up a straight
adaptor so I hope to make up two 6" hoses with 1/8" females on ...
