Has anyone got the beam and centres that mount on the back of a lathe to hold the 'master' for a Hepworth / Colchester hydraulic copy attachment? Basically it's a flat bar about 30 - 40" long with dovetails on the long edges to mount centres.

I used to build models when i was in my teens, but never really considered it serious modeling. However, I now have a son who is 3, and want to decorate his room with model aircraft as he seems to like planes as well as trains!

Does anyone know of a source of alloys like monel, inconel, hastalloy, titanum (ok, not an alloy), lithium alloys, and so on, in small quantities? ie a few pounds worth (or even a few tens of pounds worth) of each shape/size/alloy?

Gents, I have just returned from Thunder City after a flight in Hunter T8 ZU-ATH and Buccaneer ZU-NIP. Using the Aeroclub conversion would the 1/48th Academy F6 or FGA9 be the best basis for this project.

Just in case no one is aware, beginning on channel 4 tomorrow night (Monday), at 9pm is a four part series of a crew being trained as in WW2 for flying the Lancaster. The crews made up of 5 men and 1 woman and should be good to watch.
