BACHMAYR Bench Drill?06 Dec 2004 00:21 GMT7
I'm thinking of buying a better bench drill than the 5-speed cheapo I've
been using for years and spotted this one on eBay. Does anyone know anything
about these? Are they any good? I'm on a rather tight budget s which is why
it caught my eye!
Revell's 1/400 CVN-6505 Dec 2004 23:58 GMT4
folks, Toys-R-Us in Sarnia Ontario are parting with the seriously over boxed
1/400 Enterprise from Revell at 49.99 CDN...
they had 7 by the exits this morning...
now after a quick search, it seems this is a rebox of questionable age &

Acrylic paints05 Dec 2004 17:46 GMT14
Can these be diluted with plain water for airbrushing or do I need to buy
acrylic thinners?  (I'm using a Badger 200 airbrush, will be painting
aircraft and AFVs)
Also, is it possible to get Tamiya acrylics in the UK in any size larger
Stepper/Servo Motor Supply05 Dec 2004 10:10 GMT6
Can anyone tell me where you can get reasonable priced Stepper + Servo
motors in the UK?
All sites I seem to off found, only have a very limited amount of motor
sizes available, or seem to be extremely overpriced, especially compared to
[Q] Micro Krystal Clear (or similar) question04 Dec 2004 22:46 GMT6
The one time I used the stuff I thought the windows dried a little
concave. The I read a note somewhere that says leave the last window open
until the others are dry. Doh! Maybe time to try again.
What is the largest opening you would try to fill with this or the
Good colour for drybrushing (worn, muddy look)04 Dec 2004 21:15 GMT6
What colours do you recommend for simulating mud/earth and a general
'worn' look for drybrushing? My first attempt on the Tamiya Bren
carrier, I used a combination of flat brown and buff (tamiya
acrylics), and I quite like the effect it gives.

~Hawk Model WW I Airplanes (Fokker D8, D7; SPAD; Sopwith; etc.)11040404 Dec 2004 19:14 GMT2
Available in 1930-1945 years in some model shops around Chicago.
Assembled 8 or 9 of them using metal die-cast engines/props/wheels, etc.
with thread to simulate wing spars.  A memorable experience I'd like our
Grandsons' to enjoy someday.  I'm 84 now, but thinking of Grandsons' and
Airbrushed Future04 Dec 2004 17:23 GMT6
I just applied Future to a model with my single action airbrush. I had the
airpressure at 20lbs. The airbrush was thoroughly cleaned after the last
time I used it.
It seems to have left spots. What went wrong?
A-7D Colors, Late04 Dec 2004 17:21 GMT6
Just finishing a couple of 72nd A-7D's, and I'd like to depict them in their
later years...  The Iowa ANG flew them out of Sioux City, for example, in
two shades of gray, wrap around. I've been trying to find the two shades of
gray, but all my reference books (being that I'm so ...
Most wanted question04 Dec 2004 14:30 GMT5
Ok what question do you want someone to ask so you can either get a good
joke in, or show off some superior knowlege.
What about this?
