Transporting Future out of the USA12 Feb 2005 21:20 GMT12
My brother is holidaying in the US starting next week. I was thinking about
getting him to purchase a bottle of Future while there and bringing it back
to Australia in his checked baggage. Given the state of things since 9/11,
is this likely to cause problems for him (e.g. airport ...

OT?  EU to ban Swastika12 Feb 2005 16:18 GMT162
In response to Prince Harry's faux pas, the EU is considering extending the
German ban on the swastika to the entire EU.  Would this mean that all WWII
Luftwaffe modelers would have to cover the swastika on all models they have
already built?
Revell Junkers G-2412 Feb 2005 06:06 GMT1
I recently bought a Revell 1:72 Junkers G-24 by mail-order. When the
package arrived, I was a little disappointed that its undercarriage
comprises floats only. I was planning to model a wheeled Guinea
Airways aircraft.

The changes in the new Galatica12 Feb 2005 04:18 GMT66
Some of the changes are "good" but some of them are NOT "good" changes.
Such as taking COL Teigh and making him a druken old man who should have
retired years ago.  Is NOT a good change.  Likewise making Boomer a Cylon
who doesn't know that she's a Cylon isn't a good change either.
Newton Tesla11 Feb 2005 23:46 GMT3
Rich mentioned Newton-Tesla in his "Real Bridgeport or Warco" thread and I thought I
should give my appreciation of this firm. I have just awoken my Super 7 from 30 years
slumber (I have been working abroad) and knowing that the motor was damaged decided to go
for the deluxe option ...

myford oil11 Feb 2005 01:53 GMT3
Having run out of my supply of Esso Nuto H 44 oil, I was advised by Myfords
that I could use any oil meeting ISO VG32  for the ML super7 bearings. I've
picked up a can of Ambra brand  oil locally, but it is labelled ISO VG32/46.
Presumably the definition VG32/46 means that the oil ...
