In the latest Squander flyer, advance order program, the Brewster F2A DASH 1! Classic Airframes kit. That means that a Model 239 Finnish version will be an easy conversion or maybe even a future kit in the line. Great canvas for all the Finnish aces in 1/48 scale.

Canadian born actor John Vernon passed away from complications following a recent heart surgery. He studied acting in England and will be fondly remembered for playing Dean Vernon Wormer in the greatest comedy of all time, Animal House. More here:

I have been back into scale modelling for a couple of years now, and was thinking about trying out one of the photoetch detail sets. I was wondering if anyboby had some opinions about where to start. I have never even looked at one so I know almost nothing about them.

I recently bought a 1:6 scale F-1 car on E-bay. The tires had severe flatspots (RaceKing 284). does anyone know where I can get replacements or better yet find a better wheel and tire that will fit this car?
