Having finished my Stuart Turner 10V, SWMBO complained
that she what really had wanted was a beam engine. I now feel
confident to make one out of the scrap box (not sure how to use
the lock or the hinges :-) ), especially as my best mate has gone and

I bought a completed 1/48 Airfix Buccaneer.  It is pretty well built

How useful is a tilting Z axis?
Are ballscrews needed to get around 1/100 mm overall finished parts accuracy
for a cnc mill? Would good leadscrews do instead?

Does anyone know if Dragon's 1/35 AH-6J "Little Bird" special
operations helicopter kit includes the "planks" for the troop
transport version or is it strictly the gunship version?
