Semi-noob - paint and decal questions17 Mar 2005 15:56 GMT7
I need to repaint an RC truck that I bought at KMart.  The body is made of
thick polystyrene and not lexan.  I have very limited time to finish the
project and am wondering if there is a way to prep the body for new paint
using chemicals instead of sandpaper.  The truck has lots ...

Trumpeter aircraft that have tail codes of "NV".  I know in WWII and Korea,

Well, I have read some reviews of the kit, and I can deal with the learning
experience of poor fit and such. (I am learning to love putty :)) However,
I cannot for the life of me figure out how the kit designers meant for the
display stand to actually support the model.  If I put ...

Soba / Shobha rotar table17 Mar 2005 01:54 GMT4
I'm thinking of getting a Soba (or Shobha) rotary table - a 6" one complete
with tailstock and dividing plates.
If anyone has used a Soba table, what is the quality like? Any gotchas?
(AIR) Hawker Hunter intakes16 Mar 2005 22:36 GMT3
Does anyone know if the intake splitter plates on early Hunters (F.4's)
were painted Green/gray, or were natural metal as quoted in the Revell 1/32
kit?

Does anyone have oil/grease details for a bridgeport M head.  I'm just
finishing putting one together and would like to know what to put in
it, and where -there don't seem to be any obvious oil/grease points.

Cover Sheet Sticks to Decals16 Mar 2005 18:09 GMT10
A friend called to say he had some old Matchbox decals that had become glued
to the little cover sheet of waxey paper and wanted to know if they could be

pitch them and do an alternate scheme but he wants ...
