I have a steel shaft which fits into an aluminium pulley. The two are keyed together. In the past someone has used it without a key and completely buggered up the inside of the aluminium pulley. I have a replacement for the inner steel piece, but need to use the original

My father in Law was a member of the USS Lexington CV-16 crew from 1943-45. He passed away in 2003. My wifes brother had a Revell Model, which he gave to me so I could build it and display it on a shelf under his flag. I really want this piece

| Slightly OT: Painting a helmet | 12 Mar 2005 15:58 GMT | 4 |
I'm thinking of painting a helmet (a real one) with spray cans. Do you think I could do without a primer? (I'm afraid of damaging the fiber-glass shell, using a non-acrylic-based primer) How can I prevent cracks from appearing after a while?
