Well shes now seen my model collection inc the WW2 German stuff and she

I have a steel shaft which fits into an aluminium pulley.  The two are
keyed together.  In the past someone has used it without a key and
completely buggered up the inside of the aluminium pulley.  I have a
replacement for the inner steel piece, but need to use the original

help needed with CV-1613 Mar 2005 18:00 GMT1
My father in Law was a member of the USS Lexington CV-16 crew from 1943-45.
He passed away in 2003. My wifes brother had a Revell Model, which he gave
to me so I could
build it and display it on a shelf under his flag. I really want this piece

Seems more often than not, that kits include PE as standard equipment,

its getting to be a bit frustrating to find a subject you want to build
but find that key parts are PE. I have to pass on those kits.

I watched a neat program a few nights ago on the Army effort, the first
around the world aircraft flight.  Made me want to model the DWC.
Seems to me there was a kit.  Was it Williams Bros?  Don't see it in
their line, however, and since they never dropped a kit, maybe I am

Do you still like Hyperscale?12 Mar 2005 16:11 GMT17

Slightly OT: Painting a helmet12 Mar 2005 15:58 GMT4
I'm thinking of painting a helmet (a real one) with spray cans.
Do you think I could do without a primer? (I'm afraid of damaging the
fiber-glass shell, using a non-acrylic-based primer)
How can I prevent cracks from appearing after a while?
OT?  USS America to be sunk as target12 Mar 2005 12:24 GMT16
The AP has been carrying this story in several papers this week.
Apparently, no one has ever studied the effects of different high and low
tech weapons on a supercarrier.  According to the article, they are going to
tow her out several hundred miles and then shoot all kind of ...
