help wanted identifying lathe.12 Apr 2005 21:33 GMT12
I've just obtained a lathe, and am looking for any info on it.
There is makers name or identifying marks.
It is a round bed, turret lathe, about 3 1/2 ft overall width.
No gears,or leadscrew, just pulleys.
B-17 Wing Covering Thickness12 Apr 2005 20:58 GMT262
I was watching "Trucks!" on Spike TV.  The guy's new project is a 41 Dodge
Military truck.  His theme is to connect with the Memphis Belle.  In one of
the scenes of the work on the Belle, several guys are removing the wing
covering.  At first, I thought it must be fabric like a WWI ...
Saumur - France  Military Modelling Weekend 16/17 April - anyone know what the show is like?12 Apr 2005 19:11 GMT1
Anyone have any info regarding the Military Modelling weekends held at
the Musee Des Blindes in Saumur, France.  There is a show this coming
weekend 16/17 April.
What are they like, many sellers there. Do any of the Tanks run at all?
Luft 4612 Apr 2005 18:39 GMT10
I keep hearing about Luft 46.  What about Luft 54, or Luft 73?  Why don't I
ever hear about them?

Fed up with Fine Scale Modeler12 Apr 2005 18:31 GMT63
I've been used to the fact that as a subscriber I routinely receive my
issue a full week after it arrives at the newsstand.  I never did
understand it as its the only magazine I subscribe to that shows up
after it hits the newsstands, but I did accept it.  But today I noticed
WTB: 1/48 Hasegawa F-16D12 Apr 2005 11:43 GMT3
I'm looking for Hasegawa #09352 F-16DJ or #09466 F-16D Brakeet IDF.
Prefer the F-16DJ, since I won't need the extra Brakeet parts.  If you
have one to sell, please email.
Thanks!
Carbide Tips12 Apr 2005 10:42 GMT1
Does anybody have the details of that company (in Sheffield?) that
specialises in cutting tools and tips.
At the exhibitions the stand is normally manned by a lady whose
knowledge of carbide tips and holders is incredible.
CMK cockpit12 Apr 2005 07:34 GMT4
Don't know why the original post disappeared into thin air. Here's take 2.
Anybody used the CMK P51 D cockpit set? Does it include sidewall details?
It's designed for Tamiya's kit, but I thought I'd try fitting it in
Italeri's offering.

Here is hoping that trumpeter has this class of ships for next year.
SICK OF 1957 CHEVY "BEL-AIR" SPORT COUPES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!12 Apr 2005 05:21 GMT16
         Why has no one offered a 1957 Chevy in a two-ten "2-door
post" sedan!? The 2-door post sedans respond much better to hot rodding
than the Bel-Air sport coupes. When you look at pictures of 60's era
Drag cars, the 57 chevys depicted are 9 times out of 10 a "2-door" post
Weird problem:  Stinky smelling kit!12 Apr 2005 00:51 GMT30
Just got a package in the mail today.  Bought a kit, opened it up, it's
in fantastic condition, (no exterior wrap) no water damage, no dings
in the box, parts inside in plastic, and it comes complete with the
most gawdawful danged smell of _MOLD_!  No black or green

!&%#$*^^@!!  decal problems!11 Apr 2005 02:50 GMT5
I tried laying down some older Monogram decals (coated with Microscale
decal film)and things have gone very wrong.  Initially I laid them in a
drop of Future because my gloss coat wasn't all that glossy.  The edges
of the decal began a slight curl.  Whilst in the midst of this
Source of metric thumb screws?10 Apr 2005 21:35 GMT9
I'm after a source of metric thumb screws, at least that is the name I know
them by. They are screws with large, usually knurled, heads used when you
wish to undo without tools.
Can anyone recommend a source, please?
