Marking out solution05 Apr 2005 08:47 GMT5
I couldn't easily get hold of marking blue,  but discovered a recipe in
SParey for an acidulated  copper suplhate solution which works quite well.
The recipe is really easy - a couple of teaspoons of copper sulphate in a
medicine bottle of water  and make acid with a few drops of ...

Found some Mr Surfacer today at the store. Figured I'd try it since the
acolytes always seem so pleased with it. Got 1 bottle of 500 and 1 bottle of 1000.
Only used the 500 so far but HOLY COW! Where has this been all my life.

Looking for 10-24 UNC screws05 Apr 2005 03:41 GMT3
I need a couple of 10-24 UNC x 3/8" screws for a repair job I'm doing but I
can't find a source apart from buying a huge quantity from WDS.
Can anyone help me out with a couple of these, 1/4" long would probably do,
anything longer is fine too, preferably pan or cap head but I'll ...
To dremel or not to dremel?04 Apr 2005 23:36 GMT31
Is there anybody around that has any opinions/experience on using a

Any good armor reference photo posting sites?  I have M60A3 Photos04 Apr 2005 21:04 GMT1
I have some 7.2 megapixel photos of an M60A3 tank parked at our local VFW

interesting.  Does anyone know if there is a not-for-profit reference photo
listing site that might be interested in them?  The photos ...

Splined Couplings04 Apr 2005 14:29 GMT2
I'm still pursuing this daft idea of the electro-hydraulic tram!
I have now acquired a more powerful gear pump that gives me flow rates
coming out of my ears, the mounting holes are the same (gear pump/
electric motor) but the splined coupling isn't.  In fact the splined

Happy Ending04 Apr 2005 12:01 GMT1
As some of you will remember my workshop was broken into a while ago
and several items were stolen.  Not surprisingly the police have not
recovered anything, but the insurance company have come up trumps and
replaced everything.  They have companies that buy the goods for them,

Is there any way to "die" plastic a different color?04 Apr 2005 03:47 GMT3
I'm doing some kit-bashing and have several parts that need to be a
different color. I don't want to paint them because the paint will wear
off in places. Is there a way to "DIE" the plastic a different color?
