About two months ago, my father-in-law died at the tender age of 92.
Over the past month, my wife and I, along with most of the rest of her
family have been cleaning out his home and getting it prepped for sale.
This means going over and hauling out antique (read old - very old) and

Mayday!23 Apr 2005 21:50 GMT22
I've just wasted three hours of my life trying to track down 2 off 10mm
x 1.25 50mm long fully threaded screws. I have a fine collection of
teeth-sucking, sarcastic storemen, and nothing else to show for my

Jerry Cans in 1/35?23 Apr 2005 20:33 GMT5
Can anyone recommend some decent 1/35 German WWII mid or later jerry cans? I
grabbed a set of the Tamiya ones at the HL the other day, only to discover
what's inside doesn't match the three handled can pictures on the outside.
Thanks in advance,

A web site that does exactly what it says on the tin....23 Apr 2005 00:07 GMT7
I was talking to someone about how difficult it is to buy from a web site
nowadays. So many people have missed the point. As a web designer I was told
you should be able to buy something from a site in three clicks.
At last I found a site that allowed me to do this. It's called
Progress on the workshop22 Apr 2005 23:35 GMT14
After a very long layoff over the Autumn and Winter I have finally made some
progress on the saga of the shed. Over the last couple of weeks I've cast the
last of the walls which define the outside of the workshop floor slab. Over
the weekend I fitted and mortared in the 110mm pipes ...
