I'm making a small CHP motorcycle. The windshield is clear plastic and lower part needs to be painted white. I'm using Humbrol gloss white (No. 22) but the first coat of paint applied by brush looked streaky and showed brush marks. I have applied a second

| Revell Artist Jack Leynnwood in June Wings Magazine | 07 May 2005 20:36 GMT | 2 |
Just picked up the June issue of Wings Magazine that contains a fascinating article about Revell artist Jack Leynnwood. Leynnwood painted a massive amount of box art for Revell spanning the 1950s through the mid-70s. I always found his box top paintings totally

| Good Service from a company | 06 May 2005 07:03 GMT | 4 |
I have to give a big thumbs up to Pananvise. Recently while unpacking modeling tools and stuff I unpacked my Panavise to discover a problem. I have the #366 Wide Opening Head, bought it 'cause I figured it would hold almost anything and I was right.

| Grey cutting oil | 05 May 2005 09:56 GMT | 6 |
Went to use my CNC Bridgeport today and found that the soluble cutting fluid had gone grey! No nasty rancid smell, and it hadn't de-emulsified - it's only been in for a matter of maybe 5 weeks, with occassional use cutting aluminium alloys.

| Model traction engine tyres | 05 May 2005 02:42 GMT | 4 |
I'm looking for a source of rubber sheet for some traction engine tyres. The engine is 1.25" scale so I guess the tyres ought to be about 6mm thick. The rear wheels are about 187mm diameter, 40mm wide and smooth. Historical accuracy is not essential but I'd like the tyres to look ...
