My Bridgeport just died09 Jun 2005 15:05 GMT10
Just as an important job comes in the Bridgeport has died.  Looking inside the electrical box, one on the contactors has
started to fall apart.  There is a row of three contactors at the top of the electrical control box.  The top right
contactor has lost a couple of small metal ...

Earlier I posted a question about hobby shops in the Portland/Lewiston,
Maine area.
I received no replies so I guess I have to widen my search.
Are there any hobby shops in Maine?

A web site that does exactly what it says on the tin....09 Jun 2005 07:26 GMT19
I was talking to someone about how difficult it is to buy from a web site
nowadays. So many people have missed the point. As a web designer I was told
you should be able to buy something from a site in three clicks.
At last I found a site that allowed me to do this. It's called
Shark mouth decal09 Jun 2005 03:45 GMT1
Am about to attach this relatively large shark head decal to the front
part of my BF-110 1/72 Italeri model, which is spilt into to separate
parts on the decal sheet. Haven't tried this relatively large
operation before. Have both micro sol and micro set ready if needed.

find that issue.  any one know a good brand of polyester putty?  Is this the

Cheap tool grinders08 Jun 2005 22:52 GMT7
I need to buy a cheap tool grinder for grinding toolbits for lathework.
The type I am thinking of is the type with a wheel at either end.
I am more or less decided on using hss tools and I wondered if there is
any point in paying more than the £30-£40 that places like BeanQueue ...
Impressions after my first model.08 Jun 2005 19:44 GMT1
Ok. So my first experience w/ finishing my mazda rx7 was somewhat of a
partial disaster.
The paint on the back was too thick and although i tried to sand it, it
left some unevenness to the surface.

spray paint coats08 Jun 2005 18:41 GMT3
How many coats of paint do i pass on the body of a car?
I learned that a far distance from the surface gives an eggshell finish
while a closer one gives a glossy finish.
How many of both do I apply to get a good shiny and stable finish?
