There wastalk here recently about how some coolant went a funny colour owing (maybe) to a component of the swarf being leached into it. I want to make a drain rose / strainer for my lathe and in the light of this I'm a bit concerned about what metal to use ? I obviously don't ...

Some months ago I posted a message with a report of my tests to see if the Epson "Durabrite" ink is really fade resistant as they say and to see if it's good to print decals. This was a "winter test" so I did it again now that there's a lot more sunlight.

Is there any company that distributes in the US that produces a good grey primer for resin and mixed media model kits anymore? It seems Tamiya primer grey has completely disappeared from hobby store shelves (I keep hearing they're "reformulating" their paints) along with Floquil, ...

There is an advertisement in the April 2005 issue of 'Engineering in Miniature" for a G13 (6 1/2" centre height) geared head Holbrook tool room lathe. Advert says "excellent clean working condition ... best offer around £550". There is not much detail about this particular model

I ran across this old Tamiya Mokei kit called the Scorpion. The kit is 1/35 scale, motorized, and a fairly simple affair. The vehicle has a familiar look to it, but I was not able to locate any information on it in the Hunnicutt armored car book (I know, the book covers US only).
