A Hind review at cybermodeler said the Trumpeter kit rotors have no

re: Julian's German lass.19 Jun 2005 17:40 GMT5
Jules,
My ISP must hate Germans - nary a pic to be seen of the lady, not even on
the binaries group... lots of comments and complements, tho....  Post the
pic again, there's a good chap, what.
Invasion of Japan, invasion stripes on a/c?19 Jun 2005 15:08 GMT5
I was watching "The Last Days of WWII" on THC last night & they talked
about the pending invasion of Japan & how it would be similar to the
amphibious assault on D-Day. This got me wondering if anybody knows of
plans for invasion stripes like used during D-Day. I would think the
Interesting use of The CF-105 Arrow...19 Jun 2005 13:42 GMT1
Okay, you'll have to go back a LONG way in this web based comic
strip to be able to understand yesterday's episode, but I like the use of
the Arrow in the most recent strip!

Good scenic base clay?19 Jun 2005 07:27 GMT2
This time I'm seeking advice for a good clay or equivalent to use for
scenic bases.
It should be self-hardening, little to no shrinkage during drying, and
easily paintable.
Question, hopefully not too stupid18 Jun 2005 21:24 GMT48
I have a question. Ok, questions....lol.
I deal mostly with automotive models. 1/25 being my preferred scale, so to
me 1/8 is huge.
In the realm of aircraft modeling, 1/32 is huge?
Help! Datsun 1970 240Z Oil Filter18 Jun 2005 21:10 GMT6
I'm a first-time modeller so
A while back I started building a 1970 Datsun 240Z from a Revell kit I
got at my local hobby store.  Things had been going pretty well until I
got to the engine assembly.  Now I've run into some consusion with the
Rubber "Tyres"18 Jun 2005 16:27 GMT3
I have turned up some aluminium wheels, 60mm diameter and 20 mm wide,
for a robot platform.
I have some 1mm thick butyl rubber sheet (off-cut from a pond liner).
I would like to cut 20mm wide strips from this, and glue them around
(OT, sorta...)  More eBay Tomfoolery18 Jun 2005 16:25 GMT11
I'm poking around for a Trumpeter Corsair and I find this:
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2587&item=5981934603&rd=1
Now, this is the most egregious example I've found but what's with the
shipping price?  From Canada?  Another seller wanted $20USD to ship ...
Centec pressure buildup18 Jun 2005 07:25 GMT4
I'm fitting a DRO to my Centec 2B.
On the RHS of the body there are two unpainted nicely machined raised
rectangular surfaces, each with 4 tapped holes, that were clearly
intended at one time or another, to have something bolted to them.
UK online model stores apart from Hannants?18 Jun 2005 01:37 GMT11
Are Hannants the top dogs in the UK, like Play are for DVD and CD .. ETC?
Back into the hobby again and looking to expand my collection of 1/48
aircraft kits, but also, maybe, some of the better after market parts and
decals seen on such places as Hyperscale?
Airfix type motorbike models17 Jun 2005 10:25 GMT6
My 7 year old son loves the Airfix type of model.  He has asked several
times if I can get him a model motorbike (since he also loves
motorbikes).  Do Airfix - or any similar companies - make model
motorbikes?  If so, where can I buy them?  (I live in the UK)
Linear Encoder Anyone?17 Jun 2005 08:18 GMT6
The chinese scale on my the X scale of my Shumatech DRO has died.
I could easily buy another cheap chinese scale and live with it but
before I do that does anyone have a 7-9 inch linear encoder needing a
home in exchange for silent money?
US Army A-10: What if?17 Jun 2005 07:41 GMT6
Gt a couple of spare A-10s lying around & I'm thinking of doing one as
the proposed firebomber & another as a USA one. Way back when the USAF
was talking of retiring them & the Army wanted them, do you think the
Army would've given it an Indian (OK, PC, Native American) name? If so,
