Ive just built a small 3DFoamy F15 and have set up elevons (ie
elevators do both pitch and role) and flaperons (ailerons do both pitch

I need to make a few intercooler hoses.
I built  a bike for someone who made his own silicon hoses, he worked

is posting pdf copies of Squadron books, and similar type books.  If your
isp has a decent retention, then there are quite a few up there for you to

Hello to all, as you will gather I'm a new poster to this group.
Enthusiasm, or a mid-40's 'I'm bored' crisis has finally overcome me
and I've taken the plunge to start a small model workshop in my garage,

I keep seeing sets of these (reduced shank drills) at very reasonable
prices cf taper drills and I wondered if anyone here has any experience
of them in a model engineering context ?  One possible drawback that
occurred to me is with a shank of around 12mm an eg 20mm drill is going

Hemmingway do a kit (poly-V drive belts and new pulleys) for the
"Myford VMC" mill that is advertised as giving a 50rpm bottom speed in
place of the standard 160rpm.  Has anyone here used this and have any
comments ?  I'm also interested to know if it reduces or increases the

The 3 phase motor on my Jones and Shipman 310 went *puff* this morning
and the room filled with smoke. Not good.
How special are grinder motors? Some sources will tell you that
they're precision balanced and a standard motor won't do. I'm always
