Well, i don't normally post except to ask a question however, here goes... Last night I went to a meeting of the St Edmundbury Plastic Model Society in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk UK. It was my first visit and I had a great time.

| Resin Model Cars | 12 Aug 2005 08:28 GMT | 9 |
Ive looked high and low for a 76 Ford Torino (for building a old Winston Cup car)...Ive been unable to find one in plastic or resin. Would anyone out there know if this car was made or where I could get one? Thanks in advance, Larry

| Hasegaw 1/48 F/A-18F - Quick Look. | 12 Aug 2005 03:23 GMT | 4 |
Well...I got one, and there are positives and negatives as usual. But I think the positives take the day on balance... On the plus side: 1) Nice very fine panel lines - the usual Hasegawa quality.

After sorting through various piles of kit boxes in the hope of finding something to reignight a burst of modeling, I found My Dragon Me1101 Nichtjager. When I opend the box I realised why I had "paused" duering the building process.

| Model Locomotive Wheels | 11 Aug 2005 21:29 GMT | 5 |
Are there any standards in use for the design of wheel profiles for model locomotives in the UK? Here in France the C.A.V. used to publish recommendations which were advised if the club's insurance was to be valid. However they are now

| Tiny boring bar? | 11 Aug 2005 21:10 GMT | 12 |
I want to drill a hole in the centre of a workpiece which has been one-stop machined in a lathe, ie only chucked once so everything is concentric and nice. I have centre drills, drills and reamers, but I want it to be dead-centre,

| Choosing reamers - please help | 11 Aug 2005 11:22 GMT | 4 |
I've been looking at the kind of models/tools I want to build (currentl the ME beam engine, followed by Rob Roy and some of George Thomas Myford gizmos) and I need to buy a decent set of reamers. I'm happy t use D-bits and other, similar techniques for one-off solutions, but s

| Bending rolls for material 3mm wide | 10 Aug 2005 18:13 GMT | 1 |
As an experiment I want to form some stainless steel flat strip (2.5x0.7mm) into rings about 80mm diameter. Commercial bending rolls seem like overkill and I thought about a Hemmingway kit although even that copes with 10" wide material.

| RLM colors | 10 Aug 2005 17:46 GMT | 4 |
Maybe this has been asked before, but I'm having a hard time coming up with RLM colors. Especially 65, 72 and 73. I prefer Tamiya acrylics, but I can get my hands on ModelMaster, Humbrol and Revell as well. Anyone have any hints?

| Egyptian Air Force color question | 10 Aug 2005 13:02 GMT | 4 |
I'm gonna be starting on a Tu-16 Badger soon, and decided I was going to do the Egyptian version. Probably not the smartest choice. I have found a grand total of one picture online, and one drawing. What puzzles me now is the colors.

| New Hobby | 10 Aug 2005 08:46 GMT | 3 |
I seem to remember that, a while ago, I decided to take up model engineering. I had dreams of all sorts of working models -steam engines, model IC engines, maybe even a traction engine. It is now nearly 5 years since I bought my lathe -which is what started it all

| Minolta Magicolor 2430 and decal printing | 10 Aug 2005 05:10 GMT | 3 |
Has anybody printed decals with the Minolta Magicolor 2430DL color laser printer? I'm thinking about getting some laser decal paper from Micromark and trying it, but I've just recently gotten the printer and am a bit nervous about tearing up a $500 printer.

| Vector graphics for decals | 10 Aug 2005 04:52 GMT | 5 |
I've just run across a (German language) web site with down-loadable vector graphics (wmf, ai, or Corel Draw formats) of various national, and squadron insignias, along with a bit of nose art. The url is http://www.rc-network.de/magazin/artikel_04/art_04-0040/art_04-0040-01.html
