Machine Tool Maintenance24 Aug 2005 18:40 GMT3
Can any of our brothers in the SW recommend a company in the Poole,
Bournemouth, Yeovil area who might overhaul my trusty old Elliott Omnimill?
The wear is so great that the tapered gibs almost rattle in their
housings and the slideways obviously need grinding and, probably, new ...

Hasegawa 1/72  S-2 Tracker24 Aug 2005 14:12 GMT18
I have just received the result of some successful bidding:
Hasegawas old Tracker, together with some Superscale decals.
There's an interesting option with the decals for a South Korean
Aircraft and I am looking for some further references for a
bore guages24 Aug 2005 14:06 GMT9
I am trying to find some bore guages. Earlier this year, one of the items
that was stolen when my workshop was broken into was a set of bore guages,
but my efforts to find a replacement have been fruitless, as companies
cannot relate my description to the product. Perhaps anyone ...
koster coversion kits24 Aug 2005 06:36 GMT6
I keep hearing about a Koster  1/48  B-17D conversion kit but I can't
find any references. Does/did this kit exist?
Are there any other 1/48 B-17D conversion kits out there?
Of course a 1/48 B-17D kit would be great but that would make too much
Zero color confusion still24 Aug 2005 05:50 GMT10
I am still failing to find consensus regarding the grey shade for the
A6M2.
I just "learned" that zeros were primed in a darkish brown color
overcoated with the IJN light grey with only a slight hardly noticible
AF/X N Scale Resin24 Aug 2005 05:42 GMT1
Has anyone ordered from these guys? Its been 12 days since I have ordered a
resin hood and side scoops for the 69 Dodge and I haven't received them yet.
They're out of TN. I sent two e-mails asking if they could give me a date on
when to expect them with no response. I'm about ...

De-humidifiers23 Aug 2005 22:03 GMT16
A number of people keep saying how good de-humidifiers are in the
shed/workshop and the amount of water they take out from the air, even in a
summer. Surely this water free air is just replaced by air with water in so
can not see the point using electric to remove something that ...
Power Hacksaw or Bandsaw?23 Aug 2005 21:54 GMT6
In the combined wisdom of the group, which would be the best choice
from a power hacksaw or bandsaw?
I'm going to need to look for one soon and quite honestly would like
some opinions in order to direct my search a bit better.
Wazza 'Dwang'?23 Aug 2005 12:32 GMT5
Can anyone shed any light on the meaning of 'dwang' in the context of
cutting threads. This came up in conversation at work today and it's a new
word to me.
Googling suggests a Scottish name for a noggin in a stud wall but no
Pretty OT: e-Bay Selling Question - Decals23 Aug 2005 12:04 GMT18
I'm thinking of selling some decals on e-Bay. I was considering
scanning the sheets, but am having problems trying to figure out what
sort of resolution to use. I want people to see what's on the sheet,
and get an idea of the quality of the printing, but I also want to
Ortec Website23 Aug 2005 09:32 GMT2
just wondering if anyone has a working link to Ortec (the DRO people)
website?
The site I have http://www.ortec.freeserve.co.uk , and is found by
most search engines, does not seem to work.

Rollers23 Aug 2005 03:08 GMT5
A project forming is to make a driven roller for starting a 1950's
