I just received My copy from Hannants this morning, and without opening any of the plastic bags inside the bok it looks very very nice indeed, lots of clear parts for Maritime versions and the oval bomb aimers panel for the Mk VII, there are also seperate flame dampening exhaust ...

| Vacuum Tables | 09 Sep 2005 09:19 GMT | 1 |
I'm considering making a smallish vacuum hold down table for light weight engraving (pcb's infact) and would welcome the benefit of any experiences the team have had with these devices. Was considering a conventional design of milled air slots for rigid

Does anyone "know" which variant of the Ju 388 the National Air and Space Museum has in storage? One of my sources says it's a J. Another says K and a final one says L. Thanks in advance.

| Leclerc from Tamiya... | 08 Sep 2005 21:36 GMT | 26 |
Just opened mine yesterday and was amazed. Not at the detail and quality that I've come to expect from Tamiya (which are amazing in this kit - die cast road wheels already primed!); I was sadly amazed that the instructions included steps for photo etched parts that are integral to ...

| Securing Clear Parts | 08 Sep 2005 17:17 GMT | 11 |
In the past I've used good old Elmer's glue to secure clear plastic parts like canopies and such. Currently I'm working on a B-9 Robot kit from the original "Lost in Space" and his head is a 2 piece clear dome. I could use Elmer's again but it just isn't that strong of a bond and I

| Little Doughboy helmets wanted. | 08 Sep 2005 16:00 GMT | 15 |
I need some small metal (e.g., brass, copper, steel) pieces that look like little WWI doughboy helmets. About 5 hemisphere mm (0.195") diameter with a 1mm (0.04") rim. I need about 75 of these, so before I go through the trouble of making a die, I thought I'd ask to see if ...

| [Q] 1/72 u-boat VIIC PE: Eduard or White Ensign? | 08 Sep 2005 02:49 GMT | 7 |
I'm getting around to building Revell's 1/72 VIIC. The eduard set seems twice as expensive as the white ensign set.. is it really better? Is there something one set lacks that the other has? And how's White Ensign's SKC/30U gun kit?

| instructions needed for Academy 1/72 Catalina | 07 Sep 2005 23:47 GMT | 1 |
A friend gave my this kit while clearing the attic. It appears to be complete, except for the instruction sheet. It is Academy/Minicraft number 2123, Consolidated PBY-5 Catalina, but I guess any other boxing of the same kit would have sufficiently similar instructions to get the job ...

| Harriers again | 07 Sep 2005 22:53 GMT | 5 |
I have just looked over Monogram's AV-8B (Standard Daylight Attack)and found that the instrucions do not mention what color the intake ducts are to be painted. Should they be white? I want to make a grey/green early style AV-8B.
