I want to control their speed rather than use different gearings via
Bolton Paul Defiant question.19 Sep 2005 16:48 GMT5
I'm building a set of RAF related dioramas. One such scene depicts a shop-up
Defiant and the turret gunner being carted off in an ambulance. The question
is: How did the turret gunner get in and out of the plane?
Cheers.
Turbo prop P-38 for Vietnam?19 Sep 2005 15:14 GMT27
A friend was telling me that he read in a book on the P-38 that it was
such a good design that there was a proposal in the '60s to put it back
in production with turbo props & a redesigned wing, for ground attack.
I've never seen anything along those lines, but that doesn't mean

Black primer for natural metal finishes?19 Sep 2005 06:24 GMT13
Hi. I'm using Tamiya Titanium Silver for a natural metal finish (I use
acrylics only, no enamels). I've read that people sometimes prime
enamel bare-metal finishes with gloss or semi-gloss black. Why is this?
Would it be appropriate for an acrylic finish, or is it something
Hydraulic Chucks18 Sep 2005 22:08 GMT2
I've got a very nice hydrauic multi-bore collet chuck. Very useful

the O ring that's died has anyone taken one apart before or even got
You won't find out if you don't try18 Sep 2005 21:18 GMT2
I needed to cut some trunnion blocks, clutch operating shoes,
whatever, out of a 5/8" thick ring of bronze that I'd turned up. How
to do it?
Hacksaw would have been tedious, the Chinese 4 x 6 metal bandsaw was

don't last too long, and in other threads wear issues were mentioned
for other airbrushes as well. Since there are generally no rotating or

There was some earlier discussion about the history of the USAF
