Enamels Vs Acrylics?31 Oct 2005 21:40 GMT18
Right now I have a small set of enamels and am thinking of switching

smoke oil31 Oct 2005 01:57 GMT7
Does anyone know what the oil distillate is, as used in a smoke generator
for models? (The smoke is generated by a small heater that vaporises the
oil). It is a very thin oil .... and rather expensive buying it via the
hobby retail outlets as it is imported from Germany.

can see but does have "Rapid Original" tastefully engraved in two sides.
Can anyone tell me which toolholders will fit this post ?  I've
Which glue to use?30 Oct 2005 12:03 GMT10
Some idiot (I'm guessing a burglar who snuck in whilst my back was
turned) has overtightened a fitting that was composed of two female
threads joined by some M4 studding.
Although the idiot, I mean I, have managed to remove one of the snapped

I'm visiting Puerto Rico - any suggestions?30 Oct 2005 02:06 GMT7
I'll be visiting Puerto Rico early November. Does anyone have suggestions
regarding modeling or aviation? Shops, museums? I'll be visiting Vieques
too, a large part of which was a bombing range, I would like to take a
peek, but it appears that part is still a 'no access' area.
