Supplier of flat belting?16 Oct 2005 07:16 GMT4
After some months of being without a lathe, I've
been given an old ZYTO, but I need some flat belting.
ISTR at one of the exhibitions that a firm (Hemingway?)
had some orange plastic round belting for drills that
F-16 colours and jetpipes16 Oct 2005 00:25 GMT21
I wonder if I am re-opening a can of worms with my question. Or maybe the
answer is so well known that it is boring. If so, I apologise! :-)
I am planning to build a 1/72 F-16C using the Hasegawa kit (which has been
sat in my loft for over a decade!). I intend to use the new ...
Hess's Bf 11015 Oct 2005 22:49 GMT10
I plan to model this aircraft in 1/48 and was wondering if some after market
vendors have the decals.
Also was there any external differences between his plane, a 110E I think
and other "regular" 110's.
Drill Boxes15 Oct 2005 19:04 GMT3
Cromwell Tools (std. disclaimer: no affiliation etc) are selling
SwissTech TiN coated jobber drills at pretty good prices: 6mm for 86p.
Plus a free penknife with every drill bit - handy for Xmas presents.
there are some odd price breaks, like 4.8 for 77p and 4.9 for £1.82,
Fat Albert C-130 Model15 Oct 2005 15:56 GMT4
Hello All, I am new to this group. I am looking for information on
somewhere to get a model of fat Albert. Recently at an airshow a family
friends son who is a "special Needs child" saw fat Albert and has been
infatuated since. We are attempting to find a model for him that he
How to stir acrylics?15 Oct 2005 14:14 GMT10
How do you stir acrylics?
I noticed that it is written on Tamiya : stir slowly and carefully.
On Pactra there is nothing like that.
I stir Pactra by shaking the little bottle and so far I guess it is OK.
Peristaltic Pumps15 Oct 2005 10:04 GMT4
I am trying to build a small unit for pumping 2 part resins and was
looking for a cheap, yes cheap pair of peristaltic pumps capable of
pumping about a litre a minute each. Does anyone have any idea where I
might be able to get some, or make do and mend and come up with
Buying a cutoff switch15 Oct 2005 09:56 GMT6
Where can I buy an industrial style control switch to wire my Myford up
to - the kind with a recessed green start button and an exposed red
stop button?
Airfix VJ Day set.15 Oct 2005 08:07 GMT3
I went down to my local hobby store today and bought the newly released
Airfix VJ Day set. Nine OOP kits, ten pots of paint, glue and a brush for 25
smackers! So, OK the kits are old. So what if the tooling has seen better
days. Who cares that there are better examples out there of ...

Trumpeter LAV 15 Oct 2005 01:53 GMT3
Got the Trumpeter LAV yesterday & started working on the hull to find that
the upper hull is badly warped (front to back like an upside down gravy
boat).  I glued the rear upper to the lower & clamped it to dry. Afterwards,
I see that the upper front appears marginally shorter ...

WTB: 2HP 3 Phase motor14 Oct 2005 13:09 GMT2
Any speed. Foot or flange mount.
A redundant 3 wire 415volt motor that won't work with an inverter is
fine.
The only downside is that I don't really want to travel miles so east
