question about Germany Gray on Krupp Protze03 Oct 2005 23:46 GMT1
After many years of hardcore aircraft modeling, I'm taking a break from
that and building the Tamiya 1/35 Krupp Protze truck that I purchased
from a vendor's bargain bin at the Atlanta Nats.
Anyway, my question is about application of German Gray. I know that
Bowman Steam Model Q03 Oct 2005 21:45 GMT6
I've been asked to make/procure a saftey valve for a Bowman model steam
engine. These look like a copy of the Mamod engine from the 50s(?) and has a
simple meths fired boiler running an oscillating engine.
Can anyone advise what sort of operating pressure these might have been
Shaping Machine Books03 Oct 2005 20:13 GMT1
Can anyone tell me the difference between two Ian Bradley books? At Abe
books I can find "SHAPING MACHINE AND LATHE TOOLS"  by Bradley, Ian.
for £7 and SHAPING MACHINE by IAN BRADLEY for £50.
Are they the same book??
Fokker D.VI in 1/32 scale03 Oct 2005 18:44 GMT6
Hi Troops:
If you are into W.W.I aircraft the Roden Fokker D.VI will come as a bit
of a curiosity. There have probably been more models of the DR.1
triplane made than there were tri-planes (320 total production). That

terminals on the way out there sits a C-130 in Desert camo and Iraqi
Advice Required. . . Please03 Oct 2005 08:36 GMT2
I`m looking to buy a "hobby" lathe; and I`m stuck between 2 suppliers, Warco
and Chester UK. The 2 lathes are 920 from Chester, and WM-250 from Warco. Could
anyone please give any advice, or constructive critisism on either lathe or
supplier.
%$#% ebay snipers03 Oct 2005 05:28 GMT62
I'm gettin tired of Ebay snipers coming in with less than 5 seconds left
to bid and smokin my high bid by 50 cents or a dollar. I lost a 1/48
AC-130U tonight with less than 5 seconds to go by a buck by some sniper
that didn't show up til the end.

Acceptable Wear - Old Chestnut Revisited03 Oct 2005 01:56 GMT9
Hi all, a little while ago we had an interesting discussion re buying
milling machines. Although I had originally decided that I would buy a
VMC, prompted by the discussion and some good information from John S
about how to move a Bridgeport I changed my mind and started looking

Me 1st Compressor02 Oct 2005 07:00 GMT1
Picked it up today-at WalMart, apparently they sell Campbell
Hausfeld, the whole side of the aisle was nothing but!,3 sizes of
compressors,a lot of accesories.Never thought I'd find a good size
compressor there,but,now,I'm rarin' to paint!.
Which airbrush?02 Oct 2005 05:56 GMT8
Never owned one but I`m about to take the plunge. I will be building mainly
1/35 AFVs and the odd 1/72 aircraft. Is a compressor worth the investment?
Thanks in advance,
Paul
