Humbrol 151. What the hell is it?26 Oct 2005 03:28 GMT4
I'm currently sat here building the Airfix Brewster Buffalo (well, trying to
build). Anyway, the instructions says to paint the inside of the cockpit
with Humbrol 151. The snag is that Humbrol no longer make colour number 151.
So the question is: What colour is 151?
Carbide Insert lathe tools26 Oct 2005 02:22 GMT4
on my cnc lathe I currently use a Kennametal toolholder with a DCMT
tip.  It works well, but I now need some more tools.  To expand my
range using these toolholders would be expensive -list at J&L is £44
+vat (less the usual haggling).  I noticed that Chronos have a set of

At the risk of asking how long a piece of string is can someone give me
an idea how many sticks of solder I am likely to use to solder this
boiler (1.5" scale). Any other advice would be appreciated.

you're screwed.
Would anyone have this kit, and be willing and able to send me a

Warco VMC lowest speed question25 Oct 2005 09:08 GMT1
Warco's adverts give their VMC bottom speed as being 160 rpm,  but on
mine the lowest speed on the table (at 50Hz) is 190 rpm.  Does anyone
know why this is and has anyone actually measured the bottom speed ?
Thanks,

Need to ask. Does anyone make a resin cockpit for a 1/72 scale B-52 bomber?
One of the control colums was broken so I am asking.

Great decal paper25 Oct 2005 00:39 GMT32
I was building the Tamiya Williams F1 car, and needed to carbon fiber
many areas. I bought a sheet of carbon fiber decals (brand not to be
mentioned) and it was junk- the stuff just would not adhere.
I had just gotten a shipment from MicroMark of decal paper.  I scanned

Right near the red entrance.
