After many years, making various types of models, esp armour.I have come
to the conclusion that I like  those plastic tracks,a few cuts and some

(ARM) Cold War Olive Drab?21 Oct 2005 07:09 GMT13
I'm ready to put paint to my Italeri M47 and wondered about the colors,
post-WWII.  I'm tempted to use the A/N-whatever Model Master offers but
wondered if things got more standarized by the early '50's.
And no, I won't be using 'battleship grey', a la Colonel Hessler in

Alternate C-123s & books?20 Oct 2005 23:07 GMT2
I started prepping one of my Mach 2 C-123s the other day & I plan
to do several versions, like the engine-less XCG-20, the B-47-jet
podded one as well as the 2 versions offered in the Mach 2 box. The
C-123 seems to have been a pretty amazing a/c. Due to its TO & Ldg.
Head riser block20 Oct 2005 21:50 GMT3
Does anyone know where I can get hold of a head riser block for a Warco
VMC milling machine ?  I heard they used to be advertised in ME
magazine etc but I can't find an ad in any of the issues I have.

Storing kits in garage or attic - advice needed20 Oct 2005 05:13 GMT17
We're looking at possibly moving from a large condominium (where I
store my kits indoors) inbto an older single-family home.  Problem is,
I see little room for storing my 1,000 or so kits.  There seems to be 2
options: one is to put them in the attic, the other is to store them

spent most of my time on the other side of the store picking up Halloween

The milling machine quest - part 320 Oct 2005 01:01 GMT7
At the show today and considering my failure to find a decent
secondhand Bridgy, I was tempted by the Chester 836 (Bridgeport copy?).
Seemed a reasonable machine for just under £3K. Warco have an
equivalent one as well looked much better finished but also a fair bit
