Cars; missing wheels and suspension19 Oct 2005 21:24 GMT11
I bought a simple car kit to build  with my grandsons and discovered when I
got it home that the wheels and tires were missing. This is an older kit
that I found on the clearance table at Hobby Lobby. The kit is Testors
QuickBuilder "Aluma-Coupe by Boyd.

I'm probably doing something stupid but I needs some help please.

setting it to grind true.
Here's what I'm doing:
Eagle No2 Surface Grinder19 Oct 2005 16:23 GMT11
I've just bought an old Dronsfield Eagle no 2 Surface Grinder, and I
need a little bit of help with the electrics (bear with me here, as I'm
more than a bit electrically dyslexic).
The item was sold as 3-phase, has a Brook 'Gryphon' motor labelled as
Leamington -Exhibition19 Oct 2005 10:37 GMT27
I was at the exhibition site yesterday helping to set up the Cheltenham
SME stand and will be there all day next Tuesday.
First impressions are that there is more space than Donnington (even
though some of it is in marquees).
1/24 Airfix Spitfire Mk1A19 Oct 2005 08:39 GMT8
I just bought this kit... was wondering if anyone knows of an online review
or has built it. I found a good Trumpeter review, but it appears the Airfix
kit is much older..
Thanks

CAD/CAM and CNC software18 Oct 2005 23:02 GMT7
So I have braved the icy waters of this subject with the intention of
converting a small Mill/drill for my model engineering activity ..... more
of a challenge than of a necessity it may be thought.
So what software in the CAD/CAM arena is a good starting point for a

Could you comment on what I have been observing of late on the sale of Ebay
models, namely the "loaded" sales techniques of some high-volume internet
sellers.
Nieuport documentation18 Oct 2005 17:13 GMT1
My local hobby shop was having a good sale on all plastic models.  I was
looking for Hobbycraft's new Sopwith Camel kit.  They didn't have any-
picked up their Nieuport 17 kit instead.
Now, the problem is that while I had some documentation on the Camel, I

The hole is 4mm dia, the round bit is 8mm dia. The round bit forms part of a

Band saws18 Oct 2005 12:03 GMT21
After a weekend where I had to hack through a 4" chunk of Al by hand, I have
now decided it's time to buy a band saw/powered hack saw to do the boring
work for me!
I had a look around at the show on Sunday and saw a couple that looked liked
Panzer Schwarzgrau color18 Oct 2005 09:47 GMT13
I am looking for best acrylic Panzer Schwarzgrau. I used Pactra and I don't
like the results. Looks too much like plastic to me. Maybe it's simply too
shiny?
What about Tamiya? What about ModelMaster?
Twelve Squared Gnat 750 (UAV) model ??18 Oct 2005 06:17 GMT4
I spotted a Gnat 750 UAV model in one of the extensive photo reports of
the IPMS USA Nationals. The Gnat is a sort-of predecessor of the RQ-1
Predator. According to the entry sheet on which the model was placed,
this model was produced by Twelve Squared. But I cannot find ...
1/72 tank models w plastic tracks18 Oct 2005 05:02 GMT9
I am looking for detailed models of 1/72 ww2 tanks with plastic tracks. I
hate vinyl/rubber tracks (Academy).
I know that almost all Revell models have plastic tracks but please write if
you have encountered any other 1/72 ww2 tank model with plastic tracks.
