A Question of scale Regarding eBay Item number: 600501326718 Oct 2005 03:24 GMT10
Pardon the interruption. After some 50 years any hopes of completing
this model are gone so it is off to eBay. Item number: 6005013267
The scale question was asked by someone looking on eBay. Can any one
help to clarify the question, what scale is this truck?
Airbrush Nitty Gritty17 Oct 2005 22:32 GMT8

brushing with shitty results, going out of the areas, bumping one color

Oilers17 Oct 2005 20:02 GMT7
I am restoring a 1950s Winfield lathe, and it has simple oil holes in
the headstock for the mandrel bearings. I thought about turning up some
oilers to go in the holes, with lids to keep muck out. Is there a way
to meter the flow down to a drip feed, I have heard about wicks, but

...of oil please. Bit of a long shot, but I need some oil for my
milling machine -mobil vactra would do nicely.  But it comes in 25L
drums from the oil supplier I spoke to, and while it isn't hugely
expensive 25L would last me a lifetime (and there would probably still
Academy 1/32 Scale F/A-18C Load-out Tricks?17 Oct 2005 12:20 GMT2
While prowling the local Hobby Lobby during the 1/2 off plastic model sale I
couldn't resist a mismarked Academy 1/32 scale Iraqi Freedom F/A-18C even
though 1/35 scale armor is my current preference.  My question concerns the
great number of load-out options for the F/A-18.  Is ...

How Do I Back Date an F/A-18C to an A?17 Oct 2005 02:06 GMT8
Can anyone tell me whether or not the A model had airbrakes.  It
appears to me from pictures that I have seen that there weren't any.  I
am wanting to back date Academy's 18C to an A model flown by the RAAF
and I was wondering what other differences there were.
Actors who served in the military16 Oct 2005 22:12 GMT107
This is a tangential question derived from an earlier topic string. Who have
been actors who have served in the armed forces? I will start off:
Don Adams
John Agar
Scrapheap Challenge16 Oct 2005 20:59 GMT10
Don't forget -it's another scrapheap mega challenge tonight.  Channel
4 at 6pm, this time they have to build a locomotive (I believe the
three teams are building steam, diesel and electric versions).

OK... if you want the whole story first....  My wife is an exchange student
here in Istres, France at the French Test Pilot School (EPNER) as a Test
Flight Engineer in their helicpoter program.  Basicly, the USAF thought they
would send us to the south of France instead of ...
Far away scale?16 Oct 2005 16:36 GMT8
Daft question this, but here goes: How close can you get to a finished model
before you're unhappy with the result? I'm sat here looking at a Zero I
'slammed' together within 24 hours. It's 4 foot away, and it looks pretty
good. At 2 foot, the illusion is falling apart. Anything ...
(Paint) Airfix colour G14 Dove gray16 Oct 2005 11:24 GMT2
I have an old Airfix 1/24 Harrier kit, and the paint reference it gives
for the interior is Airfix G14, described as Dove Gray. Could anyone give me
the Humbrol or Model master equivalents for this colour?
Thanks in advance,
