Slightly OT: Excessive Shipping Charges with eBay Shipping Calculator08 Dec 2005 08:27 GMT6
I occasionally sell kits on eBay. The last few days, prospective
customers have reported that eBay's shipping cost calculator is
returning wildly inaccurate estimates of shipping charges. Example: a
1/48 scale Bf 109G would cost $27 to ship. In reality shipping this kit
hobby Lobby - Anyone feel guilt?08 Dec 2005 02:31 GMT26
This is strange I know but does anyone else having any feelings
of guilt because they only shop at hobby lobby when they have models
on sale or when they have a 40% off coupon? I can't remember ever buying
a kit at regular price there, since they are priced at MSRP and their

Is Ebay Listing Considered Spamming?07 Dec 2005 20:45 GMT11
If I want to advertise a decal sheet that I'm selling on Ebay, is that
going to piss anyone off?  Is that considered spamming?  I know people
do it, but I don't want to be a jerk if it's considered spamming.

Squadron/Signal "In Action" series online?07 Dec 2005 03:54 GMT6
A while back there was a discussion about an a/c & it was mentioned
that there's a non-US site that has them online. As in for viewing,
page for page, IIRC. I meant to save the site & didn't anyone remember
or help? Thanks.
Photo etch kit- it works!07 Dec 2005 00:45 GMT2
I bought one of those Micro Mark photo etch kits a couple of months ago.
The procedure sounded quite daunting, and a slip accompanying it
warned of wasting a bit of the materials in the first few attempts as
you acquire the skill. So I took it super cautious, real step-by-step.
Polar Lights 'Black Beauty07 Dec 2005 00:22 GMT2
I know its a ''medium'' range kit, but,it's funny how theres no
green/clear parts,as in the headlights. And no red anything for the
tail lights.
Blue SG Grinding Wheels06 Dec 2005 19:28 GMT4
I hope to have my surface grinder in a working condition over the
Christmas period, but in advance of this I need to replace the wheel
that it came with, which is both worn and potentially suspect as to
safety.
Electrical Question06 Dec 2005 15:21 GMT22
I've got a perfectly good DRO that's missing the fuseholder for the
power supply module. Since it's an older unit I'll either have to
replace the whole power module (possible) or find a fuseholder (or
power module) on something dead.
