Where can I find Pavla decals on the web? Pavla makes a conversion kit with decals for a SM.79 Sparviero which turns it into the racing version that competed in the 1937 Damascus Paris air race. I really only want decals with mice on them. Any online sites have what I'm ...

| Plastic Bugs and Nylon Stockings | 30 Dec 2005 05:33 GMT | 14 |
After reading all the posts about the Plastic Bugs eating those parts as they hit the floor, I vowed it would not happen to me again. That didn't last long. A very tiny part hit the rug yesterday afternoon and after searching for 15 minutes, I remembered reading something in FSM

| Flat Black for the last time | 30 Dec 2005 01:19 GMT | 10 |
Finally I managed to get a Tamiya XF-1 bottle. It turned out that it's much more flat that the paints I used before. So to sum up me "flatness research": Pactra / ModeMaster / Humbrol flat black is about the same level of flatness

| F4F-4 & FM-1 | 30 Dec 2005 00:35 GMT | 8 |
I understand that the basic difference between the F4F-4 and the FM-1 was, other where it was made, the deletion of the outer pair of guns from the wings. Is this right or is there more?

While I was looking through some old boxes of parts on a kit bashing mission, I found my old Auto World hot knife and an old Auto World Catalog. The prices in the catlaog look pretty cheap and there are some kits I haven't seen in ages. Wonder if I can mail in an order (:>

| Ambulance Colour | 28 Dec 2005 21:51 GMT | 10 |
My last query of the old year. I've almost got the RPM kit of the Ford Model T US Army Ambulance to the point where it needs to be painted. The instructions recommend Humbrol 102 for the overall colour. Does anyone know if this is a reasonable match for

| Cutter grinding | 28 Dec 2005 21:48 GMT | 12 |
I have a friend who has built a Stent cutter grinder. He has trouble when grind up the flutes of an endmill as the force of the stone tends to lift the cutter of the support/guide finger. Seems obvious to rotate the wheel the other way and keep the tool on the

| Bent Casting? | 28 Dec 2005 19:18 GMT | 2 |
I'm in the process of fitting the new motor I got from Tim Leech to my grinder, and as it is a bit larger than the 3-phase one that came off I have had to add a extra support bar at the back of the motor mounting plate so that I can bolt the new one down.
