Tank exhaust painting31 Jan 2006 23:48 GMT4
Does anyone know how dirty in reality tank exhaust were?
Is this ok to paint whole area dark gray dirty? Or should the exhaust be
rusty with just the dirty inside?
I suppose it depends on the quality of the fuel.
B-57 color question31 Jan 2006 23:24 GMT7
Can anyone tell me about the color of the wheel wells of a B-57B ? The
airfix instructions would have me paint them "crimson", but something
makes me doubt that.

NC-123K/AC-123K camo scheme?31 Jan 2006 21:59 GMT5
I'm finishing my Mach 2 kit & they don't provide any painting info
for the NC?AC version. I've Googled with not much except side views &
not much else in the SS "In Action" book either. Anyone know where I
can find the camo scheme, espcially on the upper surfaces? Thanks.
Where to get electric motor31 Jan 2006 21:31 GMT3
Where should I look to get a 1/4 HP cap start single phase 220v motor to
replace the clapped out one (nasty noises and smell of ozone) at present on
my lathe?
Any hints/tips/pointers/offers .... all welcomed.
'Strange?' thread31 Jan 2006 13:25 GMT4
Just bought some 'cheap' wire brushes and cutting discs for my Dewalt
Cordless angle Grinder.  I actually only wanted the cutting discs but
the wire wheel and cup brush were 'free'.  Anyway, the brushes are M14 x
2 [I even ran a M14 x 2 tap through to clear out any cr4p]  The Dewalt

Looking for Resin Distributor31 Jan 2006 03:00 GMT1
Just posted a picture of a resin distributor for 1/24 or 1/25 cars.
The distributors are pre-drilled and came in a set of 4.  If anyone
knows where these can still be gotten, let me know.
BTW, my apologies in advance for the size of the file.

I'm looking to build the new 1/72 Revell-Germany 2-seat Typhoon in
Italian markings (not included in the kit).  I've heard that the 1/72
Italeri 2-seat Typhoon kit includes Italian markings.  Can anyone
confirm this?
Moulding Plastic30 Jan 2006 22:53 GMT3
I'm looking for a plastic material in sheet form that I can mould to a
(roughly) U shape but with a squared off part in the U curve in the middle.
Basically, the idea is to mould the material around a roof rail of a car to
seal around a small box ( say 100mm x 25 mm * 25 mm) that ...

Paint first or build first?30 Jan 2006 16:52 GMT5
When building AFV's is there a consensus on building first or painting the
parts a base dark color, and then assembling (pre-shading)?
While building first might be easier, it might be harder to get paint into
all the nooks and crannies while possibly getting paint runs in other ...

I am searching for as much as/all different colours (camo, maybe) the Dodge

I've been searching the Net for some pictures but besides the two WWII
