Hi all, happy new year. I am converting my S7 to Poly-V drive and have
found an 11 tpi Whitworth chaser as per John Stevensons' advice (lucky
really it's the only chaser I have). My question being new to these
things is, "do I tilt the chaser in the tool post to remove the helix

Someone in the group suggested that I not do running rigging on cargo
spars, but have them stowed.
Boy, I wish I had listened.  I figured, hey, I have rigged a number of
sailing ship models, so why should I be afraid of the rigging.

Any good sites with tips and tricks for the novice plastic kit modeller
anywhere?

I am about to start a 1/350 Fletcher.  I have a Gold Medal photoetch
set for it.  I was wondering about what kind of glue I should use.  I
have never used photoetch before.  It looks like the ship railings
could be a real challange.  Should I attach the photoetched railings

Does anybody have a kit to spare??? I'm looking for a kit made by
aurora perferably. Does anyone have one for sale?

I am building the recently re-released Revell-Monogram
1/90th box-scale DC-3 kit.  Yes...an ancient kit, with
little detail, and saturated with oversized rivets...but

I scored the commerative 1/350th Battle of Tsushima Mikasa Hasegawa kit its
sweet lots of detail and small parts and tons of rigging to do the color
photos on the box bottom are a plus

On a Stuart 10V vertical steam engine, what holds the sliding valve
against the cylinder block during operation?   Closely machined
tolerances between sliding valve, cylinder block, and valve rod?  Or
maybe shims between sliding valve and valve rod?

Can anyone suggest where I might buy some aluminium strip, it needs to
be quite thin and anywhere between 1mm and 1/8th of an inch wide
