Hi all, happy new year. I am converting my S7 to Poly-V drive and have
found an 11 tpi Whitworth chaser as per John Stevensons' advice (lucky
really it's the only chaser I have). My question being new to these

Someone in the group suggested that I not do running rigging on cargo
spars, but have them stowed.
Boy, I wish I had listened.  I figured, hey, I have rigged a number of
sailing ship models, so why should I be afraid of the rigging.

I am about to start a 1/350 Fletcher.  I have a Gold Medal photoetch
set for it.  I was wondering about what kind of glue I should use.  I
have never used photoetch before.  It looks like the ship railings
could be a real challange.  Should I attach the photoetched railings

On a Stuart 10V vertical steam engine, what holds the sliding valve
against the cylinder block during operation?   Closely machined
tolerances between sliding valve, cylinder block, and valve rod?  Or
maybe shims between sliding valve and valve rod?
