 Maybe this question would be more appropriate in a military history
group, but modelers seem to be pretty knowledgeable in that area, so I
will ask here.

I would have thought that the military would have standardized
intake covers plugs canopy covers and the like but while searching
for info on covers it appears that there are many different kinds and
types of covers available from different companies. Their web sites

How practical is it to  "anodise and dye black" aluminium at home?
( "Anodise and dye black" was the standard finish I recall seeing specified

Yeah, Jules I finally found the .jpg in my files.  I doubt the scan was
good enough for repro but at least you can see what the sheet looked

Yes this is my ''Dumb Question'' #-145.
I hear and read this term a lot.  But I am not really sure I understand
just what it really means.  When I do Instrument panels for Aircraft or
Armour I use the smallest brush I can hold and very very carefully -Dot-
