ML7 Speed with Bronze Bearings20 Mar 2006 23:19 GMT4
Info needed from anybody running the ML7 with hardened spindle and
bronze bearings. What speed have you safely increased this to run to,
and been happy with?
I know the manual lists the top speed for the (US) 60khz version with
high-speed gearing20 Mar 2006 20:58 GMT11
I want to gear up a 1.1 kW 32,000 rpm rated motor to 120,000 rpm, ie a 4:1
up ratio. Later I will want to gear up a similar 4 kw motor.
It doesn't have to operate continuously, a few minutes at a time will do. It
should be reasonably efficient. Most important, it should be easy (and

B-47 Pics20 Mar 2006 04:56 GMT12
Hey Guys,
Does any one have any B-47 pictures they could send me?  I want to build a
B-47 E next, but I want to add some open flaps, panels, doors etc.  I've
tried Google and have made a trip to WPAFB to the museum for some hands on
question on airliner paints20 Mar 2006 01:42 GMT2
I'm working on a boeing atm, and the instructions call for "boeing
grey" and "coroguard grey" - does anyone know which paints would match
those? preferably Tamiya if possible, but any brand will do. TIA
I've said this before...19 Mar 2006 23:06 GMT17
... but what we can *do* is pretty bloody cool.
I sent a mate away from my workshop earlier chortling with delight at
what I'd done.
What I'd done was a ten minute job. He'd got a 6mm Allen bolt at the end
SuperScale decals listing?19 Mar 2006 07:52 GMT7
Is there somewhere a reasonably accurate listing of these decals. They seem
so ubiquitos but so undocumented.
RAF Crash Tender19 Mar 2006 03:56 GMT2
I'd say this request is pretty 'iffy', but what the heck, with a little
luck?  In an older issue of Airfix Magazine [April 1979] I saw a small
model photo of a German Half-Track [SdKfz 7?]fitted out as an
experimental RAF crash tender in 1945.  Now that's kind of neat, I
Australian Mirage IIIEO19 Mar 2006 02:20 GMT1
I have almost completed the Italeri Mirage IIE in 1/48 scale and need
some advice re the Australian version referred to in the instruction
sheet as beingA3-7 of  76 Squadron at Williamstown in 1968.  The
instructions seem to indicate that these aircraft would be light grey
New Paint?18 Mar 2006 19:15 GMT5
I just returned from a quick vacation in Germany and while at a hobby shop
in Frankfurt I purchased a few bottles of a solvent based paint I had not
seen before.  It's marketed by Revell and the bottles are labeled Airbrush
EMAIL COLOR.  I've not had the opportunity to use the ...
Anyone Recognize This?18 Mar 2006 17:05 GMT9
I am trying to ID this model part.  I have no idea what it could be, it
doesn't look like anything I've ever come across.  Please take a look
at the photos:

Putty drying times18 Mar 2006 06:34 GMT3
How long do you guys allow various putties to dry before sanding?
Also, any compatability problems with placing different putties over one
another?  ex:  Tamiya Polyester over Glazing and Spot Putty.
Thanks,
Are military insignia copyrighted?18 Mar 2006 00:26 GMT8
How about the insignia of various American and foreign ww2 fighter and
bomber squadrons, like the flying tigers logo? Is that protected by
copyright? How about ww2 bomber nose art? Or is it all public domain?
Can I safely assume that all german ww2 / nazi insignia, symbols, and

Special Decal needed.17 Mar 2006 18:24 GMT2
I would like to have someone make me a decal for a 1/72 scale U-Boat.
I asked one time and someone said that they would do it, but did not hear
from this person ever again. I am trying to get a decal of a picture of a
skull and crossbones that says "Noch und Noch".
