I’ve got by so far on a hotchpotch of ‘sandpaper’, an old sharpening
stone of dubious heritage and other bits and bobs. I notice that J&L
industries are having a ‘30% off abrasives’ sale and I thought I’d
treat myself to some better supplies and kit.

I ran across this on a Yahoo Blog. What do you guys think of it?

I was thumbing thru a book a little while ago and came across a pick of one

I have a problem with gloss finishes, most of the time I get a "satin"
finish or a mixture..
Different mixture % don't seem to help, is there a matter of air pressure?
amount of paint? distance from the model? opening of the nozzle?

Just planning to move on to the next "clearout" project and need some
advice if possible. I have had an old Atlas 10f under the bench for 10+
years and have decided that it is time to fix it or throw it. It is a
"babbit" bearing model with the spindle bearings well past their sell

Im using the top of the range Revell airbrush, cost me nowt but i think it
was the £150ish top model.
Im using a can of air.
It has a push down and pull back trigger, when i do use it i only pushed it

How can you thin these paints to use with the Airbrush.  And can they be
thinned by using regular Alcohol like the kind you get from the Drug
Store.  I would like to spray some green paint onto a few dried flower
things to make them look more like foliage for a diorama.

I have a hard time finding model engineer workshop in the US. I am
aware of a carriage stop modification that was published in issue #96
and one in #99 as well. I have the issue 99, but am looking for the
carriage stop article from number 96. If someone could scan it and

am looking to build a Tomcat in 1/72 scale, any views which is the best kit
on the market?
