I see that Hannants are now listing the Airfix 1/48 Spitfire 22/24 as "Sold

Does anyone know whether the Spitfire 24 is no longer being produced by
Airfix?  I know that it will be available on the Spitfire 70th Anniversary

Daily Telegraph April Fool Story - Eurofighter Typhoon07 Apr 2006 03:05 GMT6
Did anyone else read the article in Saturday's edition of the Daily
Telegraph? It was on Page 11 and was entitled "Why fighter pilots wear a

Free Material - Mild Steel/Alloy Steel/Aluminium07 Apr 2006 01:09 GMT4
I am clearing out a load of obsolete injection mould tools at work,
and these will go in the steel scrap bin by 21st-25th April latest.
Before we chuck them I though I would offer this to anyone who needs
some material stock for a project (or just for the odds and sods bin)
Annoying electrical problem06 Apr 2006 20:26 GMT13
I got my 'new' CVA lathe in its intended spot last night, with this
evening allocated to get the electrics sorted. These things weigh 1.5

you good folk will ahve something useful to say on the matter.
It's for the rear swing-arm, so bearings are subject to periodic
quarter-turns rather than full revolutions, if that matters.  I've
plastic 'lenses' - what material?06 Apr 2006 15:46 GMT13
I need to make a couple of new glasses, lenses, call them what you
will. Just discs of clear plastic material to replace old, discoloured
or cracked originals. If I pinch a bit of my wife's 1.5mm acrylic
sheet will it last more than five minutes in a grotty oily
