I am planning on building the 1/350 Musashi and 1/350 Titanic . I plan to use photoetched accessories and figures ( sailors , passengers ) . What are the types of glue I would need ? Apparently there are 3 types . One for fine work etc What are they ?

I see that Hannants are now listing the Airfix 1/48 Spitfire 22/24 as "Sold Out". Does anyone know whether the Spitfire 24 is no longer being produced by Airfix? I know that it will be available on the Spitfire 70th Anniversary

I am clearing out a load of obsolete injection mould tools at work, and these will go in the steel scrap bin by 21st-25th April latest. Before we chuck them I though I would offer this to anyone who needs some material stock for a project (or just for the odds and sods bin)

having got my L5, and re-motored etc it so i can now use it I came to the question of alignment. It is not on the usual harrison cabinet, but rather a big box leg under the headstock, and a A leg under the tailstock end. It was a training lathe, an early mk3 from the serial

Semi-off-topic as the application is for a motorcycle, but I'm sure all you good folk will ahve something useful to say on the matter. It's for the rear swing-arm, so bearings are subject to periodic quarter-turns rather than full revolutions, if that matters. I've

I need to make a couple of new glasses, lenses, call them what you will. Just discs of clear plastic material to replace old, discoloured or cracked originals. If I pinch a bit of my wife's 1.5mm acrylic sheet will it last more than five minutes in a grotty oily
