Normally a tap will cut a thread that's a bit bigger than the thread a matching die will cut, so there is a small gap between the finished pieces (needed so they can turn freely).

I just noted that the IPMS-USA Journal has an article titled 'Build your own vacuum chamber'. Can anyone tell me more about it? What's the intended use? I recently bought a vacuum pump, and I'm planning to build a vacuum chamber, for RTV and resin casting.

In relation to my other thread I am restoring a Myford super 7. I hav the Myford paint and wondered. Should i apply primer to metal areas o just apply the enamel paint? If so which primer? I am looking for bes results and endurance.

All, I am interested in making an F-4EJ in 1/48 scale or higher. Price is not a concern--quality is. I know there are a lot of good F-4 kits on the market...but who does the F-4EJ justice? The only one I've seen
