I need some 3 view drawings hopefully with cross sections of the
Sukhoi SU-31. Anyone know a site that has SU-31 drawings in any CAD
format  or large TIFF or JPG?
Thanks
Help!!!   Which F-15 is Little Einstein's Big Jet?29 Apr 2006 03:04 GMT11
Hello aviation enthusiasts,
I'm not a regular reader of these groups but I'm desperate to find out
some info on an F-15 model.  My 4-year-old son watches Disney's Little
Einsteins show, which has a character called Big Jet.  There's no toy
Query on old Otaki/Arii/Revell/Minicraft kits29 Apr 2006 02:58 GMT2
Specifically the 1/144th kits.  Are there any known irregularities?
I have 1/72nd drawings of F-105s and had them reduced to 1/144th.  The
kit parts seem to be out of scale.  OTOH, I started with Caruana's
drawings.  Which do you feel is closer to wrong?  Or, am I just as far

Paint won't stick28 Apr 2006 15:37 GMT2
Yesterday I wanted to paint the first layer over my PST ISU tracks.
The paint was not sticking to it nicely (undiluted Tamiya XF-1) so I washed
the tracks in soap, hot water.
And after that operation the tracks hate the paint even more!
Enamel paint (Myford colour)28 Apr 2006 14:52 GMT4
I have a Boxford stand for my Myford lathe, because it was a steal. I
cleaned it up and painted it with red oxide but I'd like to paint it to
match the lathe. I have a small tin of genuine Myford paint that came
with the lathe, but don't think it would cover the stand.

Anyone ever seen a model 139 (US B-10) built to the Dutch specs? Not
sure if any model of this combat aircraft has ever been offered but
surely someone would have bashed one....but I don't find one on the net.

gummy puck in paint27 Apr 2006 08:45 GMT6
I opened a bottle of Modelmaster paint (Gloss white) that had been thinned
30% with Testors Modelmaster Airbrush Thinner, maybe 6 months back.  (The
bottle had been on a robart paint shaker for 20 minutes)  When I went to
check the viscosity of the paint I found a small 1/8 in ...
Ground flat stock for ways?27 Apr 2006 08:01 GMT6
I have some 8 mm thick x 80 mm wide ground flat stock which I am thinking
about using for ways, initially for the ways of the Z-axis of a mill, and
perhaps for a small lathe later.
I'll attach it something a bit more rigid, possibly a 80 mm x 80 mm or 80 mm
