Good evening to build models30 May 2006 12:12 GMT25
Well, I see by all the advertising on TV that tonight Gena Davis and
Donald Sutherland (two of hollywierd's leftest and brightest) will start
conditioning us for the presidency of Hilliary Clinton. This will be a
good evening to go down in the workroom and build a model. I bet the

Double-six chucks?30 May 2006 02:55 GMT12
I envisage a double-six-jaw self-centering chuck. It has six internal jaws,
and six external jaws. The internal and external jaws are operated by two
different scrolls*.
A double-three/four/more-jaw chuck would probably work too.
Centering a ring29 May 2006 18:14 GMT2
I've got a stainless steel ring, about 2mm thick, O/D 100mm, I/D 50mm
(approx). I'd like to increase the inner diameter by about 4mm or so
(not a precision job). If I can't get my chuck wide enough to hold the
ring, how would I mount it centrally on a faceplate?

Trumpeter should replace their ship kit section with monkeys, the results would be better................29 May 2006 05:05 GMT14
Someone gave me a Trumpeter The Sullivans today and words to accurately
sum up just how bad it is would all be censored . I really didn't think
it was possible but they made a crappier kit than their North Carolina.
No joke the USS The Sullivans by Trumpeter is an almost complete ...
Brush painting cars - tips?29 May 2006 02:46 GMT4
I decided to take a break from modern jets, having tired of the
disparity between the details of the kits I was building. Well, that,
and trying to apply all the two hundred stencils on Revell's 1/72
Twin-seat Typhoon.

Eddie Stobart Model Trucks28 May 2006 11:47 GMT5
My mother-in-law has a collection of about 12 model Eddie Stobart trucks.
These are all in mint condition with the original boxes. About 4 are "big"
size the others are "normal" Corgi size. She wants to sell them as she has
lost interest in collecting them.
Help with dividing plates28 May 2006 09:56 GMT37
I am looking for a 60 hole 5.5 inch dividing plate to go on the tail end of
my lathe spindle - that was the original design and it seems a useful
accessory worth recreating. When I look for ones for sale I see them with
weird numbers of holes, 47, 41, 37. Perfect if you want 47 ...
