What was the ship in Ep. 1 that resembled a highly polished SR-71?
Thanks.
Double HELP!!!!05 Jun 2006 21:53 GMT3
Well, I've got three major problems. My brother just moved recently and
found two un-built models I had stored over there for a few years. One is
the AMT/ERTL X/YB-35 (1/72), and a Delta2 Savoia Marchetti S.55 X (scala
1/72, Italian kit manufacturer).

In search of a Bridgeport05 Jun 2006 16:25 GMT22
Having missed out on the Bridgeport at one of my Toolmakers that closed
down, I'm now looking for another one.
I'm after a series 1, would prefer a step-pulley with 2 speed motor
rather than a vari-rattle head, 42" table would be ideal, 48" too big.
Wheeltappers hammer05 Jun 2006 11:08 GMT10
I posted a problem I had getting excel to calculate belt lengths properly.
I spent ages fooling around trying to get the thing to match real life.  The
drive belt on my lathe is marked"800"  and the formulas produce "832".
I bought an Contitech SPZ "825" length belt for the lathe ...
Large diameter cast iron05 Jun 2006 06:45 GMT10
I need to make some cast iron clutch linings. Anyone know of a source
of 8 1/2" diameter cast iron bar - I only need two discs about 1/4"
thick, sort of "thin slices" from a bar.
Suggestions welcomed
PB4Y-2 Privateer05 Jun 2006 00:42 GMT3
Hi Troops:
For anyone out there thinking of tackling Bill Koster's or Meteor's
1/48 PB4Y-2 conversions there is now a good reference available.
Schiffer Publication's "Consolidated-Vultee PB4Y-2 Privateer" by Alan C.
I'm looking for 3 view line drawings of school busses...04 Jun 2006 22:42 GMT2
My kids gave me a project for my kids teachers. They want me to build a
bus made of paper and cut and paste their class pictures in the windows
to give to their teachers on the last day of school. If I can find
something workable, I'll make the paper model and release it copyright
Need help for painting guided missiles04 Jun 2006 21:02 GMT3
Hi all - recently I scored three older Aurora? (maybe Monogram 1:100)
missile kits, the Regulus II, the Bomarc and the Rascal.
Thing is, I want to paint these as if they were in front line use.
Trouble is, I'm not too sure about what colors they would hev been
RAF WWII Camo question04 Jun 2006 18:51 GMT8
there is a thread on a WWII group about the the USA stopping the use of
camo on some oftheir bombers and fighters and that the RAF continued
with camo.
No post yet on why they stuck with camo.
Lawn mower engine04 Jun 2006 15:58 GMT11
I have a Villiers I think MK7 engine off an Atco lawn mower. I need to
remove the flywheel to replace the points. There is a large hexagon with a
thread inside it and I can turn it about two turns both ways and then stops.
Question is this the extraction nut and if so which way do I ...
Internet Modeler04 Jun 2006 11:38 GMT6
I have recently found the online Internet Modeler magazine.
www.internetmodeler.com
I've been happily reading the back issues. What an incredible resource!
I've also noticed a few names that I recognise from somewhere....  ;-)
