Compass21 Jun 2006 22:53 GMT3
Well I think I`ve sorted this out.
Used a syringe with a large blunt needle (from an inkjet refill kit) to
remove some of the original "oil" .
It was very thin and had a smell of a spirit not a plane oil.  Would`nt mix

Can anyone help. I want some small metal gear wheels for a 2:1 speed
ratio, say 12 and 24 teeth or 15 and 30. I would like them to fit say a
3 mm or 4 mm shaft. I am making a steam engine from K Harris's book on
Model Stationary and Marine Steam Engines and need to make a gear box

Adhesive for brake lining21 Jun 2006 11:44 GMT19
On a much-loved twin-tub washing machine the brake lining on the spin
drier side is detaching from its metal band. The band covers about 2/3

Hobby Lobby 1/2 off kits this week21 Jun 2006 02:03 GMT9
With the coupon from their site. You've a day to find it, print it, and

Any new sightings?
thread cutting tool?21 Jun 2006 00:34 GMT2

hardened. HSS and carbide don't work well, diamond and CBN are about the
only materials that will cut it cleanly.
I have some diamond tips, but they are not meant for threading, although

I am finally at the point of installing the gun deck on the 1/96 USS
Constitution, however during a test fit, the hull bows outwards thus
leaving no where for the middle section of the deck to rest on.

Happy ! 20 Jun 2006 23:20 GMT1
Not thats it's that important chaps, but I finally got my new Warco
lathe installed  in the workshop today :)
Need to sort a few things out, like stiffen the floor, but all seems
ok. - I hired a block and tackle in the end to get it on the stand.
Cutting threads (well grooves) with taps20 Jun 2006 22:20 GMT5
Just to prove I finally made it out of the armchair:
This is one component of a mod to add a "boring and screwcutting" speed
range to my sieg C6.

e-bay shill bidder20 Jun 2006 21:24 GMT44
Watch out for e-bay seller 7216karl.
I was bidding on a jacobs chuck, no bids after 6 days until mine, then
within an hour 3 more bids from the same person, who had apparantly
bought the exact same item from the same seller 2 weeks before.
Airbrush adapters for Porter Cable compressor20 Jun 2006 05:59 GMT8
Group,
I have a Badger 200 airbrush used for scale models.  For the last few
years I have been using Testor's propellants but as one knows the cost
can add up quickly.  I went to buy a Testor's mini compressor but the
