| What Color is "Anti-Corrosion Grey"? | 01 Aug 2006 00:23 GMT | 1 |
Subject header says it all... I've been researching '60's USAF fighters and keep coming across references to them being painted in 'anti-corrosion grey' but I haven't ever seen an FS

| AUTO Is the 'new' AMT 39 Ford Tudor Sedan really new? | 31 Jul 2006 20:01 GMT | 4 |
I was under the impression the AMT 39 Ford Tudor was a new kit. It seems really, well, primitive, if it is: metal axles, faint, low-def detailing, especially on the interior tub. If you compare it to the 41 Woody kit, it seems almost like a

| That was painfull | 31 Jul 2006 17:51 GMT | 4 |
I have tried several times in the past to have a look at this newsgroup and while the mirror copies on the web provide the content I failed every time I tried to subscribe direct. As it turns out I have never had to set up the 'bt news' path since none

| Achieving a low gloss finish | 31 Jul 2006 13:41 GMT | 3 |
I'm working on a lindberg diesel tug and so far it's gone pretty. I would like to wind up with a semi / low gloss finish. The paint as it is now is a little too glossy. I was thinking of a final spray coat of dull and then buffing it a little. Is this the best approach or is

| RIP:Sad and just a bit spooky | 30 Jul 2006 19:13 GMT | 4 |
Found a tiny black enamled P-38 pin (with no pin, maybe an earing?) in my driveway yesterday. Have lots of aircraft pins, one for every type that I have flown or flown in (other than airliners) or crewed. This one was not from my collection nor was it one of my wife's earings.

| How to measure V belt size? | 30 Jul 2006 18:10 GMT | 8 |
I need a V belt (Z range) for a machine I'm building. How do I work out the size I need from the pulley sizes and spacing? I want to avoid a trial and error approach, which from past experience will involve buying several.

| Brit Phantom air bleed doors | 30 Jul 2006 18:01 GMT | 13 |
The Brit F-4s have an extra set of air bleed doors on the flanks on the rear fuselage. I am in the process of completing a Fujimi FGR2. I have painted the relevant parts and now need to attach them. Apart from the canopy, the rest of the model is complete.

| Do you know the manufacturer of this F-100? | 30 Jul 2006 17:51 GMT | 6 |
When I was a young child growing up in the late '60s, my father was very much into scale modelling. At one point, he had both a F-100 and F-104. I know my dad built alot of Lindbergh and Hawk models, and I can vaguely remember a drawing of the model in sideview on the box tops ...

| Which 1/72 F-15? | 30 Jul 2006 05:17 GMT | 13 |
To provide me with a bit of a break from building acres of F-4s and Spitfires, I quite fancy building an F-15. Which 1/72 kit would you recommend, Academy or Hasegawa? I know that the Academy one is half the price of the Hasegawa one. However
